FWIW I bought the Allpowers S300 288Wh in 2022 and haven't had any problems with it. I also bought two of these R2500 ones a few months ago and they've been working fine so far running fridges and a sound system a few times.

        • +1

Yeah, looks like it was just a particular batch of mainly beige R600 V2 that were sold in

Australia at discount of $299 for a while via ebay that had that issue with that code. I bought a grey V1

on release from Amazon with no problems, and a beige V2 ebay bargain for $199 that personally so

far no code (yet), but have only had 4-5 uses/charges out of it so far. Most issues I hope got sorted

          out via warranty I hope.

      • Were $199, bargain if you did not get the error code.

    • +1

Is this equivalent to a 168ah 12v battery?

      I.e. 2016wh / 12v = 168ah?

If so, then apart from the ability to handle high draw, is there anything else special compared to past delays for 200ah 12v batteries for cheaper?

      • +1

Yes although you have to add the costs of charger, inverter, 12v & USB outlets and battery box but personally I prefer this route as I can control every individual component.
Who knows about the quality of otherwise of the parts lurking in this Allpowers thing?

      • 168ah is correct. You pay extra for the portability and ease of installation for a moderate 240v inverter system.

      • compared to past delays

Which delays are you referring to?

        • "Delays" instead wanting to say "deals" maybe? Spelling slip up maybe?

          What do you think JV?

Slightly cheaper than the all time low Bing Lee deal.

Took me a while to wall mount this by myself lol. The picture and sound are good for the price. The system is smooth running android tv 12 with 20GB usable. Testing a bunch of 2060p youtube videos on wifi without lagging. Power rating is the only drawback. Other than that, it should tick all the basic needs for most people. Unless you want to chase better image quality.

The newer version 855 will triple the dimming zone and improve brightness. My next upgrade would be 85" as I don't see any wrong with larger screen.

      • -4

One of the dodgiest sellers in Aus. So many times has given wrong models of the TV, as they never had the one to begin with. Sells second hand and even damaged models as new. Charges extra after transaction for postage many times.
      Plus other problems too.

Even if somehow you get everything go your way with this. Why support a seller who knowingly screws their customers over in so many ways.

    • -4

      @ factorydirect-au

      Name is misleading

    • +5

Dodgy seller. Passing off used as new. Said to me they needed to open the tv to check but it was obvious the box were used with labels removed and slapped with new printed ones. Waste of time.

You can find a Kogan or Hisense 85in TV for $1600-1700, if you shop around.
Personally, I would spend a little more and get a 4K laser projector for $3000-4000 (Xgimi, Hisense, or Nebula).

      • +2

Kogan and Hisense not even in the same league.
Laser projector at double the cost? (a little more?) and not really something someone shopping for a 65inch TV cross shops with

I purchased the Costco version of the Exide battery CMFQ85EF last week. The original price was $165, but with the current 25% off promotion, it only cost me $124.

      • Great price!
If you are close to Mentone, you can pick up and it’s $17 less, making it similar to your price 🙂

      • Bought the same one for partner‘s Mazda 3. Can confirm it’s working fine for i-stop system. Great value indeed.

    • Does anyone know any portable jump start that works on stop-start batteries? I have a GOOLOO 2000A, but it wouldn’t work with a stop-start battery; I used a jump lead from the other car when needed. I wonder if there is any other portable one that works with these batteries.

    Merged from Huion Drawing Monitors: Kamvas Pro 13 2.5k $368.79, Kamvas Pro 16 2.5k $559.20 (Used for $439.20) Delivered @ Huion-Au eBay
    Go to Deal
    Coupon Code: CBT24APR

    Original Coupon Deal
Coupon required for the prices listed in the title!

These are solid prices on some very well reviewed QHD drawing tablets.

Potentially limited quantity but I think Huion lowers the availability in the listing and refreshes the stock in as it sells.

There's also a bunch of other Huion tablets available with the coupon as well. However, I've only looked into the ones I've listed.

Huion Kamvas Pro 2.5k vs XP-Pen Artist Pro (Gen 2)

XP-pen offers some great alternatives with their newer Artist Pro (Gen 2) tablets.
These are competitively priced when on sale (which is almost always) and come bundled with a nice macropad.
They also have a taller 16:10 aspect ratio, with the Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2) at 2560x1600 and the Artist Pro 14 (Gen 2) at 1920x1200.

I still think the Kamvas Pro 13 2.5k for $370 is great. I'm not sure if any other 13" QHD drawing tablets exist.
The XP-pen 14" offering is only 1920x1200 and also a decent price jump up.

For the 16" tablets with both around the same $550ish price, I'd probably go for the XP-Pen. But its really close.
I own both and prefer the screen on the Huion. The 16:10 on the XP-pen is nice, but in my opinion the Huion is sharper and has better colours.
With that in mind, I think the used Huion is a steal at $439.20.

If you don't need QHD, there are plenty of cheaper 1080p drawing tablet options out there.
But the higher resolution is a huge upgrade, and I reckon you're worth it.

    • +1

Decent price for the product but they had the base Kamvas 13" down to $135 in October 2023. Same situation; their official eBay account with coupon deal. Don't think it will ever be that low again and looks like they're kind of phasing out the OG Kamvas 13 now, 2.5k would be a lot better but OG is absolutely usable.

REDLINK PLUS Intelligence electronics make these controls possible while ensuring maximum performance, protecting the tool against overloads, over-heating, and over-discharge. Garmin is quite frequently on sale at various places - often between 30-50% off.

I would rather get a Hammerhead Karoo 2 for $319 (CCache) - 3.2" screen, almost 4x as many pixels as this 840's 2.6" screen. Or even the new Karoo (3) for $470. Worse battery life but just about everything else is better than 840, and you can buy a lot of sensors for $320.

      • Are their app's advanced functions free same as Garmin Connect?

        • +1

I am interested in this question too. This, Wahoo or Karoo? (I have a fenix 5s and 4iiii powermeter)

        • Love my Garmin 530 and will upgrade to 550 when it launches in 2 years time. Happy to be using Garmin Connect which offers more benefits by using the eco system. Watch, radar, speed sensor, HRM, etc.

          https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2024/05/hammerhead-new-karoo-3-r…

But at this juncture, Hammerhead has managed to become one of the few competitor brands to Garmin to actually make it over the hump from ‘cute startup’ to a very legit competitor and a product that I’d be happy to ride with as my regular bike computer. As always, I look forward to whatever new set of feature updates comes every two weeks.

        • As far as I know Hammerhead charges for nothing except hardware accessories. Any maps can be downloaded free, and everything like Climber etc (if that is what mean by advanced features) are built in standard.

      • Where can you get the karoo 2 for $319

      • +2

I’d also like to buy a Karoo 3 for $470 please link me

        • Hammerhead Australia was selling the Karoo 3 for $470 when they first sent out the email notification of its release, however Customer Support states that I am wrong and it never 'happened'. After seeing that price I am refusing to buy this unit until I see the price got for $470.

          https://imgur.com/a/NTDPE6P

          • @None-194: Oh wow definitely would of bit the bullet for that peice

          • @None-194: Yeah absolute no brainer for $470! Now it’s up for $750 and you can get the 1040 for around the same price it’s a much harder sell

          • @None-194: No, you were correct. That it where I saw it. I clicked on their link in the email I got. The RRP was listed as $639 and the sale price was $470. I posted this price on the bicycles.net forum the same day. Now it shows at $750.

I bought my Karoo 2 last year for $419 (down from $639) when they had the "Summer" sale (obviously EOFYS for us) - not sure if they will have a sale on the newly released Karoo this year though ?

    • +1

got a 1040 for $699 a year ago and honestly ive gotten so used to the larger screen it would be hard to go back to the smaller ones. ive been converted

      • +1

The 1040 is around $760 now and so I’m not sure whether to go 840 or 1040. Coming from 530. Price difference isn’t much. Do you miss the physical buttons at all?

        • +1

sometimes, yes i feel like i wish i had the buttons, but to be honest most of my riding is set and forget, with at most some swiping between screens (the touchscreen is flawless any weather which is great, i assume the 840 is the same). Losing the buttons is a small inconvenience but not the dealbreaker it would have been on the previous generation

    • +1

Ended up buying a wahoo bolt instead for $320 plus rador for $110. Garmin I felt was a bit overpriced.

    • +1

I think I'm just going to use my 530 for another generation.

    • this or m2 macbook 15" air?

I was tossing between the two around few months ago, and went with m1 pro, but ultimately it's about what's important for you

m1 pro has better performance when you push it thanks to active cooling, faster SSD, memory bandwidth. better quality screen: HDR really shines snd those amazing blacks on miniled. also better speakers, more ports (ability to easily extend disk space using those SD cards that sit flush in the SD card slot is priceless. I got 512gb JetDrive Lite for like $70 on eBay), and I reckon better resale value down the track

but 15 air is lighter and thinner (mbp 14 is a chonki boi) and lasts longer from single charge although m1 pro isn't really a slouch in this department either, the real life difference is 2-3 hours I think? screen is slightly larger but lower resolution and not miniled of course. speakers are ok

so all in all I think mbp 14 is better value and is quite a bit more of a computer for the same kinda money, esp. at this price. I went with it and no regrets. unless you absolutely just want something larger and lighter or need super long battery life
