      What's so funny?

      • +2

The fact that a $1.45 torch is being branded as a "police tactical" flashlight lol

        • +7

and has a claimed "99,000LM" lol

          • @Xistn: Exactly lol, King Steuart just isn't picking up the irony of this ad :)

    • for what its worth I bought this like 10 years ago and still use it. Bit small for hitting someone with but it was great for army as it's stupid bright when honed in.

      • Why would police hit someone with it? They have other options.

        • +1

Exactly. But the original comment laughed at it being labelled tactical. My point was the only reason it wouldn't be is if you were wanting to use it like those big security car bommy knocker ones..

Btw are you King Tightarse too??

  • Thanks, bought before ask

  • ar there any other 60% off items ?

99000 lumen needs about 1000W, and a massive heatsink & fan.

Bought anyway. The bundled cells wills be tested, and maybe given to kids as emergency spares for their bike lights.

    • 99000 lumen needs about 1000W,

That is why not possible but for $1.45 😆

        just $924 :)

        • oh true, I just clicked the google drop down. Must have been something else

  • +2

    Lol 99000 lumen.

That is like 38 car head lights put together, seller must be thinking 990lm is way too low, lets add two more zeroes to increase sale.

    • I'd be surprised if this is even 990lm.

      • +1

Lumens numbers are all fake for items on eBay. Sad part is that people believing them without knowing the technology.

I have 2000 lumens (real lumens) head light. My friend bought 36000 lumens from eBay. we put them next to each other and turned them on. He was crying :)

    • LOL this has more lumen than the Sun haha 98,000

  • Thanks OP. Good deal with the batteries

  • Intentionally false advertising

  • Did anyone get theirs shipped yet?
Apparently mine has been but no tracking number…

  • Got a tracking number 😊

  • +1

Mine was delivered today. Express posted from sender “VMAU” if you get an email from AusPost.

Product looks good. Torch is solid aluminium. Battery charger is US plug without an Australian adapter.

  • +1

Mine arrived today also. In Melb. Great torch for $1.45 ;)

    • Strange why Sydney slower than Melb when it said silverwater , is it Sydney silverwater?

  • +1

Got mine today. Seems okay for the price, like nothing, (brightness, weight, build quality).

Only obvious thing if you are on a Police Tactical raid, I hope it's not raining. No O-rings in the parts that screw on/off to prevent water ingress. Especially where the lens part attaches to the barrel, not a lot of overlap and water 'could' enter.
Most of my other cheap torch's came with rubber O-rings

    • Did you have a chance to test battery life?

      • No, charged them Yesterday but I don't have a scientific way to test them, other than leave the torch on low and gauge runtimes.

  • Arrived, charging batteries now, I have my own 18650 charger.

  • Actually it is quite good for the price, very bright but not 99000LM 😆, may 99000LM is the brand name.

The battery said 1200mah but my charger charged upto 500mah and full, may be the battery already half charged.

    • may be the battery already half charged.

Like the glass half full :-)
But if the battery says 1200, it may be telling the truth. My last torch came with cells labelled 9800, and a discharge test said 280 :-)

    • Bright with the included batteries?

Mine arrived today but it wasn't very bright.

Swapped in some quality Samsung batteries and it's much brighter.

The included batteries are rubbish. Even though they state 1200mah they are probably half that capacity.
Better than nothing though, and better than an alkaline cell torch.

      Edit.
Didn't realise there are 5 modes. Maybe I was on the low power mode.

      • +1

        Also charge the battery first.

  • Mine arrived, not too bad. Emitter looks like a Cree.
But the torch only draws 0.44A on full power, so about 3W at the LED. Nothing like what a real XM-L can handle.

Will run 4 or 5 hours on "high" using good cells. You can easily get just as much power from a single 18650.
