    How is a $200 torch a bargain?

    • I don't know - you tell us.

      Find a similar specced torch(assuming that the 12K lumens is accurate) at a better price and post it here.

      • Here's a genuine question: What's the purpose of having such a powerful torch?

        • +3

          When you’re out at night in the bush, forest, sea or anywhere in the thick of nature where the only light is the moon and stars. Having a super bright torch can help you see further and see potential dangers (if any).

          Personally, it makes me feel safer that I can see everything bright and clear when moving through a forest at night where moonlight cannot get through the canopy. I want to be able to see 30 trees deep into the forest, not 5 trees. I am also able to see across some rivers and figure out potential ways across it.

          Shine it in the eyes of potential home invaders at the door?

        • I use a powerful torch for hunting at night.
          It makes a world of difference to be able to see the reflection of the eyes.
          You can determine what type of animal it is by the colour of the reflection of the eyes.
          Deer = green
          Fox = red etc

        Nebo is not very popular amongst flashlight enthusiasts. That size flashlight at 12k lumens, I doubt turbo lasts 30sec - minimal thermal mass, that thing will be cooking - if it even is 12k lumens. 7k lumens for 2hours, doubt it very much. You won't find many torches that can maintain 2000lumens over time, especially for that budget and/or form factor.

        Here's one that is 38k lumens:

    • There's $200 torches and then there's $200 torches. I have a large collection of torches, most under $50 but a few $200-$300 (WildTrail WT90 😁)

      Nebo doesn't feature because they are not worth $100 let alone $200.

        Sorry yes that is kind of what I was getting at. I'm sure some torches are worth $200, this one in the deal does not seem to be

        • +1

          According to OP, it's marked down from $400, lmao!

    • What a stupid neg. The onus is on you to answer your own question.

        It was a rhetorical question, this torch is not a bargain

        • +1

          Where is it sold cheaper?

    • I've got torches which are over $500 which I require for hunting.

  • Will this Light up my Life ?

  • Thank goodness no one has us the word “tactical” yet….

    Turbo (12,000 lumens): 30 second intervals* / 220 meters

    Pass 😒

  • It isn't a light I'd buy, and I have a few. It's a short distance flood light. Here's a real review by an expert
