  • Is the BARCODE same for all?

    • +1

I would NOT assume so, my barcode started with 1 and ended with F

    • +1

Nop, I have about 200 and they all start with 10V and follow with different alphanumeric combinations.

      • 200… barcodes? 200 TZ accs????
        Now pls elaborate.

        • Just keep registering new ones until you have 200?

  • can we just show the email?

      Bruh…

Simply show this email to our Funsquad at your nearest Timezone venue…………

      Username checks out i guess

  • Free 2k tickets from quick drop then.

  • I think this is the $10 sign up offer, ends Feb 24.

Voucher is valid for 30 days from receiving

    • Which part of my description says “Sign Up bonus” …?

      • it's in the app.

        • Yeah I see it.. exactly what it says in the email.. as described above.

    • The $10 sign up voucher is a different promo, this one is just sent out today to old accounts.

    • Nah, i used that one last weekend and got this one today

  • I got a voucher for a free plushie so going to assume it is different for different users. Also ending 31 Dec.

    • What plushie?

  • There was a similar freebie from Timezone from back in June, it was for $20.

When I tried to redeem it in-store, the counter person was hesitant, and said that I could only get it if I also recharged $100 (at the time it was also offering promotional bonus 100% extra on all recharges), essentially making it $80 for $200 of credit.

It was still a good deal but wasn’t happy that I was baited into a big recharge.

Might be this one you talking about
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/797948

      • Oh yes thats the one - I was not made aware that I could’ve only spent $10 and took advantage of that offer!

    • $10 always happen. Last time they did a treasure hunt.

    • They did this to me too

    • Had this too

The T+C were a little ambiguous there and I got the same in store experience

This seems pretty explicit - it’s $10 - no strings attached

  • I’m assuming this doesn’t work at Zone Bowling with Timezone in it?

    • I think no but you can do 2 games for $10 with Zone Bowling's current deal

  • +1

Thanks, just in time for the school holidays.

Opened the App and it's there, under "My Vouchers".

  • Got $10 on both of my accounts.

  • Just saw this when I went to Zone Bowling today. The balls are heavier than expected. I guess it's time to hit the gym.

Also, you now can add your card to the phone and tap.

So got the email today and cashed it in, it's definitely targeted.

The odd thing is that since the barcode was on a black background and so was the code they didn't scan it or review it.

They just grabbed my tz card, scanned it and saw that I had the voucher linked to my account.

    • Both my email and in-app barcodes were on white b/g, unsure why yours is on a black one

      • Magbe theyre on dark mode???

        • I am on dark mode iOS and barcode b/g stays white.

          • @noelhoi: Ooh interesting. I'm on dark mode and have to turn it off for barcodes as it appears black

  • +1

It's a pretty smart promotion for them. Once you're in and committed you'll definitely recharge more. Getting people in the door is the main thing for them since most of their costs are fixed.

Arcades all died out where I come from, it's nice to see this kind of thing still available. Imagine a childhood without arcade games.

  • Do they do sign up promos ? Thinking of finally starting to hoard credit for my kid.. (or me really…)
