Upgrade from FTTN/C to high-speed FTTP with a $0 install.

Eligible properties can change from nbn FTTN to FTTP or FTTC to FTTP (select areas). After typing in your address it might say $0 Fibre Upgrade Available, if eligible. The FTTN to FTTP minimum upgrade speed is 100/20 or higher. The FTTC to FTTP minimum upgrade speed is 250/25 or higher. New Customers only.

          You need to be using a high speed NBN plan to get the upgrade, from what I’ve heard you need to be using it for 6 months otherwise if you drop your speed after the fibre upgrade you’re liable for fees

            @Rorku: You can change it back after one month without any penalty.

            I've just done this with my folks & in-laws who were both on FttC with Aussie BB. It's an easy way to get a far more reliable connection for next to nothing.

          Generally all FTTP providers are doing it for free.
          Its not hem paying for it to be done its the NBN network.

      Yes, I was told by a rep on the phone that you are only obligated to stay one month but they hope you won't 🤣 Not sure if it's in any fine print somewhere .

          I made the switch from Aussie BB to Leaptel last month. Currently on FttN, however I'm due to get FttP tomorrow providing NBN don't cancel my appointment.

          Once my FttP is up and running I'm moving to 1000/50 for $89 a month for 12 months, which is what I was paying Aussie BB a month for their 75/20 plan.

    100/20 w/ Leaptel is $74.95 for 12 months. Churned to them a couple of months back and are finding them to be pretty good. No issues so far.

    So annoying. There's 2 free fibre connections across the road and despite individual copper feeds to each unit I can't have fibre as I'm in a townhouse.

      Have your ISP file a “Technology Query Services Review” ticket with nbnco to get your LOCIDs activated if it’s feasible to do so. If your ISP won’t do it then move to a real ISP like Aussie Broadband.

    Just checked and my place is now enable for the Ultra fast plan.

    Just wondering does 1000/50 give you LAN like speed? If not what is the benefit going on it?

    My company paid mobile plan already have over 300G data and I am few hundred meters from a Vodafone and Optus cell tower. Will 1000/50 go faster than my 5G?

    Whats the best way to go about FTTN -> FTTP upgrade? Continue with FTTN plan whilst signing up to another FTTP plan with different provider and cancel FTTN once FTTP is ready?
