Would You Expect 30 Tea Bags if You Bought One of These?

Just wanted to double check I wasn't going mad(der). So I ordered 4 boxes of these expecting to get 120 tea bags.

https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B01MG3L67M?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_…

"VAHDAM, India's Original Masala Chai Tea Bags (30 Pyramid Tea Bags)

Brand VAHDAM
Item form Bags
Flavour India's Original Masala Chai Tea
Tea variety Black
Unit count 30.00 count

30 MASALA CHAI TEA BAGS "

But got 4 boxes of 15 bags instead (60 bags). Got on to Amazon for a refund so now I can order another 4 boxes and get the expected amount for the price advertised. Anyway, was just 2nd guessing myself and was interested in case I missed something.
Cheers

(on the order received page it shows a picture of one box with 30 bag count and not 2 boxes of 15)

    looks like 4 orders should be 2x boxes therefore 15bags x8 = 120

Each single order is 2 boxes of 15 tea bags each. So 30 teabags for $11.99.

  • A review posted on 12 Feb 2022: Tasty but falsely advertised. Only 15 teabags while description says 30.

Cheers I didn't bother with the reviews as we've had the product before and know what they are like. But 2022 was 2 years ago so you think they would have fixed the page description by now?

      • It's a common Amazon SNAFU, has happened to me a few times but their customer service is excellent (now matched by eBay)

I can easily see this confusing the packers at the Vahdam (TM) warehouse, especially if the packers were new to the job.

  • That seems like false advertising. The picture shows 2 boxes of 15, and the 30 count is mentioned multiple times in the description, in the item title, in the "About this Item" section and the "Unit count".

  • Did you order 4 boxes, or did you order 4 of this item?

  • same as when we buy KFC it says 8 chickens but then at home when opening the box whoala… 4 normal size and 4 very sad small chickens part

  • What a shit way to get customers to pay double the price. I'd return it to get a refund and complain (even if I had to pay more for it somewhere else!).

    • I usually get them from the Vahdam site directly, until they decided that $75 was a fair postage cost (used to be around $20 ish). :)

I had a problem like this with gas struts for the tailgate on my car.

There was an advert for gas struts for the tailgate on my car. The price was considerably less than the price at a dealer. I needed two. So I ordered two. They sent me two sets of two. I said I didn't need four, I only needed two. They admitted that their advert hadn't been clear enough that they were selling pairs of them, so I hadn't needed to order two, charged me for one pair, and told me to not bother sending the second pair back.

Certainly the OP SHOULD have gotten 120 . But the fact that he didn't might not have been dishonesty, it might just have been a mixup that he ordered four of something that was being sold two at a time.

  • OP you are right, but I dunno why you would want tea brewed in a plastic teabag.

    • We like the product, always open to new suggestions though, as long as they are bags and not loose tea. :)

      • I usually drink loose leaf, so can't provide suggestions, but I would personally avoid plastic teabags for health reasons.

Pretty clear, it's 30 bags per order, if you ordered 4, you get 120 bags.

Once I saw "Little Trees air freshener x28"
thought it was a bargain, but had to order minimum 3, got only 3, questioned amazon and the customer service said "It is one little tree with x28 the normal smell" and I was like, where'd you get that info from? it is not written on the packages or anywhere else.

Also if that was true then it would stink your car up something fierce!

What did they charge you? It says .40 / count ie 40c each, so the advertised $11.99 equates to 30 teabags. If you paid $47.96 then yes definitely should be 120 teabags.

    • Yeah the cost was $47.96.

      Thanks for all the replies.
