    It's a decent phone for $399.

    • Agree. Had the A34 and liked everything about it except the camera sadly. Screen and battery fantastic though.

They've apparently upgraded the A35 main camera with a slightly larger sensor and OIS vs the A34, and it does seem to perform better from the few reviews I've seen.

        • would be keen to take a look at night shots in particular, they were just awful. I honestly wondered if Samsung were ensuring they were awful so as not to cannibalise sales of higher end models as the phone was mostly great!

  • 4 OS updates and 5 years security updates

When did those 5 years started? What is an OS update in Samsung’s view? Was is ever up to date with the latest Android version?

    Exynos 1380

No reason to get mid-range Exynos when you get the "Tensor" Exynos in the Pixel A series phones

With the 8a about to announced, deals will be flying everywhere for the 7a and 6a

Plus you're getting support for Dual SIM, eSIM and Graphene OS

Definitely interested in the Pixel phones, but am a bit turned off after some experience with a friend's Pixel 7. Shocked by the bad battery life and to a lesser extent, underwhelmed by the photo quality at times.

  • How is this compared to the old A51?

    • A35's Antutu score is at least 2X better, has IP67 rating, bigger battery and camera OIS, but no audio jack port.

    Expandable storage: oh yeah!

  • Hope previous gen A34 price come down more to clear old stock

  • Buy pixel 8a instead for $350.

    • Where?

      • Jb hi-fi, trade in special.
If you don’t have something to trade in you can put like a Galaxy S10e down and just cancel the trade in after picking it up

  • Is this locked to Telstra network?

Just bought it outright at Telstra shop in Southland Westfield, no need for Telstra ID, and no locked to Telstra network. We just walked in and asked for the phone, they checked the price and we paid, that's it.
Has anyone tried to get it price beat at OW?

    • Just wondering if it comes with an invoice including GST for tax claims?

      • Yes I was given one. Receipt broke down GST, cust name etc

      • Checked my emails, they also sent an invoice pdf.

    • Same (West Lakes Telstra). I said to the guy we only have NBN service, no mobile service, and said you don't need any sort of service with them to buy it.

OW won't match Telstra… No matter what.

When I bought a pixel in store, they wanted my ID but didn't ask me for a Telstra ID.

    • Yes I called officeworks and they did it over the phone it was $379.05 for me, picked it up instore the same day.
