it's optional… ie you don't have to enter one to go through the process
If you have already tried then you know the answer..but if you don't want to enter IMEI, you can try Watches where it is optional to enter.

I wouldn't. Only thing better is the CPU.
I am considering doing this. My 256G P7 worth $385 at office work, which means I only need to pay (947-385-200-300) $62 to get a new 8a 256G.

You should see another email with a list of coupons you can generate.. click on the pixel 8a one and it'll send you another email which will have the coupon

Just used live chat on JB Hifi and asked for the best price and got the 256gb for $889; minus $300 credit brings the phone down to $589.
What did you say to bring down the price and how did you apply trade in after that and what colour?
Just told them I was ready to purchase. 256gb only comes in Obsidian Black.
With JB deals they send you a link which goes to the cart with the discount applied.
Add the coupon for the $300 trade in credit (Used S8+ $1 as trade in collateral) = brings the price to $589.
Now waiting on the $200 gift card after the phone gets delivered.

Waiting for my new phone and have gone the trade-in route. When returning the old phone to squaretrade, must I also send the charger? The new phone doesn't include a charger and my old charger appears to have the right features (PD and PPS), so it would be good to keep it.
Looking at the terms and conditions on the email from squaretrade it mentions laptops and watches but is silent on phones.
4.2 To lodge a request to participate in the Program, You will provide:
(a). information about the Device including without limitation, the OEM, make, model and capacity; and
(b). if Your Device is a laptop or watch, Your indication whether You will include the charger with Your Device; and
(c). the Condition Category of Your Device.

$800 for the Bay 128GB, traded pixel 5 for $1 (didn't use the $1 trade voucher), used $300 trade in offer, coupon and 10% off ultimate $500 gift card to pay the remaining balance.
Total upfront $450 = Pixel 8a 128GB + $200 gift card.
