This product will no longer be available to purchase after 11/06/2024.

Is this the end of the 60GB yearly plan? It appears Kogan dropped it too.

60 GB is enough for me when I can use wifi at home and work.

      • Same, but it appears 120GB will be the lowest soon.

        • Let me check expiry whether I can keep one to use with$15 voucher that catch send to me.

Is this the end of the 60GB yearly plan? It appears Kogan dropped it too.

Most of the MVNO got rid of their ~$100 plans year plans (ie. Coles Mobile, etc).

I wish Boost would do a 60G plan. Their plans are far more data than I need, and therefore out of my price range.
amaysim have offered me a deal to renew: $89.25 for 110G. Despite me only using 40G! More discount and less G please.

    • Ive been shouting this out for months but nobody has been listening.

Coles, Woolworths and amaysim dropped these "budget" plans months ago.

And the "discounted" prices have slowly been slipping UP.
Need to lock in your preferred 60GB 365 day plan NOW!

Unfortunately the only choices left right now are:
      Catch or Kogan?

    • @Hiphopopotamus

      This offer ends 11/06/24.

      Reading on…

      CatchConnect fine print says:
"This product will no longer be available to purchase after 02/07/2024."

    • @Hiphopopotamus

Where on the Kogan site does it say their small plan is being dropped.
Thier fine print says you can redeem thier voucher for Small plan till December.
No mention that I can see of it being discontinuned.

      But yes, thats the trend

      • I just don't see the Kogan 60GB plan on their site.

And I'm still seeing 11/6 for the Catch 60GB.

        • From memory the Kogan 60GB plan was known as their EXTRA SMALL plan.
yes, its been missing for a while now.

But the SMALL 120GB plan is similarly priced to Amaysim and Catch 60GB plan
So I guess the extra small plan became obselete.

        • And I think you are a little confused with the current catch deal and product end date….

The current catch offer ($99 discounted from $120 for 60GB) ends 11/06/24.

          Reading on…

          CatchConnect fine print says:
"This (60GB) product will no longer be available to purchase after 02/07/2024."

          BTW
Right now its discounted further to just $89.
But not for long so be quick!

          • @HeWhoKnows: It has been updated now on their site to 02/07.

            • @Hiphopopotamus: Catch are running 2 concurrent deals with different deal expiry dates

              1 for $99 and 1 for $89
              The latter runs out sooner.
But same 60GB plan so no longer available after 2 July.regardless.

I keep saying this is last chance to get on board with one of these budget priced 60GB plans but everyone keeps expecting a better deal elsewhere.
              It aint going to happen.

Once this Catch deal (optus network) is gone there is only Kogan on the Vodafone network for $120.
If you can put up with lousy coverage outside the main cities.

  • Anyone able to compare their experiences with both Catch Connect and Coles Mobile?

Coles now want $120 for the legacy 60GB plan, so this appears to be the same thing with a discount for the first year.

    • Very similar, both are Optus. I'm in SA metro though.

      • Not really
        Coles 60GB no longer available

    • Mrs B went from Catch to Coles and the experience was very similar. Good reception (E burbs MEL), did not have any problems with either so I can't really comment on the service

    • You missed the boat with Coles.
      60GB plan ended last year.
      Only available to renewals now.
Only options left are Catch (optus) or Kogan (Voda)

      Both ordinary options.
For me, Catch is the obvious choice if you are planning to travel outside Metro areas.

  • Ahh 32gb left 185 days left I should of got 120

    • You have 2 years to activate sim

      • thanks for info

    • +2

Dual SIM with a profit Boost/Amaysim

      • +1

        oooo good idea

      • +1

too bad the cheapest for a 365 day prepaid from boost is $230. Negates alot of savings.
if only they did 365 day 60gb or something for $150, I would most certainly just use another telco for data.

        • Good thing the 28 day SIMs with data are often at our profit

    No international calling?

    Stack with cashrewards 3.2% cashback.

  • "Activate SIM within 30 days of purchase, or by the date advertised in a promotion, whichever is earlier, to receive advertised inclusions."

What if you don't activate within 30 days?

    • +1

      you won't receive advertised inclusions.

      • I am interested in getting this for when I come off Boost next year. If I don't activate for another 7 months does that mean I could get whatever data they decide or is there a base amount?

        • If plan is no longer available for new customers you might simply get a credit towards the 120GB plan.

      • What is the inclusion? Is it the 60gb for 365days? It's the only thing I see.

        • These are budget no frills plans.
You get the 60GB data and the usual unlimited calls as well
          Thats it !

Catch has never had any "extras"

  • Just beware I'm currently having an absolute nightmare of a time trying to port out of Catch. My 365 day plan expired on Tuesday and all of a sudden I can no longer receive texts, so I can't receive an OTP to port out… Have called Catch twice now and they don't seem to be very interested in helping.

    • ah fk - i lost my boost sim while overseas, so there's no way i can receive any sms on my old number. what do i do?

      • Can you recharge?

        • +1

I can on the app, but my sim is lost and I haven't yet ordered a replacement. I was hoping to just receive the new catch sim and port the number over. Looking at this post, it dawned on me I probably still need to receive sms to my mobile no to process the transfer.

          • @plentifoo: Yes, you most likely need to allow the port through SMS. Since Boost allows eSIM these days, maybe you can contact support and see whether you can activate eSIM on your phone so you won't need wait for a SIM card. You may also need to subscribe for another month. :(

  • ordered 3 days ago - hopefully it gets delivered soon. lost my sim card while overseas, but just return to AU without a phone number :(. need this sim card to port my number asap.

    • How can you complete the port confirmation with a lost number?
Update: you'll be best off contacting Boost, I assume they'll for formal ID

  • What’s a best way to get a 90 day sim only deal ? I wanted 3 90 day sims for visiting family !

  • +1

My data ran out for this yearly sim, I’m on the $120 60gb 365 plan. I still have 250 days left and the data has exhausted. Is there a cheap way for me to get more data? Even if I have to sign up for anything else. Yes I can add 1 or 2gb for $10 or $15 but they have expiry of 30 days in the Critical Information Summary document it’s hard to see but it’s there. I might opt to switch over to another sim provider if no other option.

    • What happens when the data runs out? Can you still make and receive calls and also SMS until the 365 days expire?

      • +1

I still have 200mb left, and I need them to accept shifts for work. So no, I don’t have a clue sorry. Once it’s run out I’ll get back to you.

  • still not delivered - wish they had an express delivery option.

  • I orderes on the fifth, still nothing, not a word from them getting shipped.

    (profanity) useless people.

  • Is the 4G speed capped on this plan? I couldn’t see any details on their website or CIS.

  • There's a 5% at Topcashback https://www.topcashback.com.au/catch-connect/, but it cannot be found through their site search.

  • when am i going to get this sim card pack…it's already 10 days, i had to renew my boost plan for 7 days because they use the slowest possible mail option.

not giving me much confidence in the service at all.

  • They cancelled my order!
