good to post here. These deals deserve to get more oxygen

I can breath a bit easier with this deal.

  • Looking at replacing my P10 soon so this deal popped just in time

Hi, P10 masks only come in fitpacks (every size cushion included) so you will have the option of choosing which size for your extra cushion.

    • @MBix ditch that shitty P10 and get a P30i. You can thank me later.

      • +1

Haha in all honesty I started with the P30i but had some issues with it so changed over to the P10 and have been using that for about 2 years. I've noticed my leak numbers increasing in the last 10 months though no matter what I do so I'm a bit confused (even taped my mouth shut!) In all honesty I can't remember what issues I was having with the P30i, it's all a blur coz I was trying so many masks out at the start of my CPAP treatment. The fact the P30i is interchangeable with the N30i may sway me though, so I can try out multiple options!

Tried to go back to a FFM and couldn't cope with it.

        • The P10 was my first mask, and I really liked it… until I didn't. The fact that it comes with those horrible little tightening clips that don't work should've been my first clue. As soon as the elastic started to go it was a truly miserable experience. I immediately loved the P30i because it had velcro on the headband to tighten, yet I never needed to. The neoprene covers on the tubes that pass by the face mean that I have never woken up with crease marks like I did daily with the P10. Finally having the pipe attached to the top of the head like an electric chair gives incredible freedom of movement. I could spin like a dynamo in the same direction all night and not get tangled. With the P10 I was constantly afraid that I'd spin and pull my machine off the bedside table!

Give the P30i another go (or N30i), just make sure you use the right size nose piece!

          • +1

@MikeK: They've actually updated the headgear on the P10 in all fairness - no more detachable clips. I've found a wash and dry on the hottest setting helps return the elasticity too, but yeh I will definitely be giving the P30i another go, I'd assume I'm similar size (medium) nose pillows so it shouldn't be a problem. Really trying to get on top of what is causing leaks as I've started to feel lazy again some afternoons which was what sparked starting CPAP in the first place. Won't lie last night I got tangled in the hose for the first time I can remember and thought god damn it, P30i time!

Another company here in Perth are doing the same deal so I'm going to grab an N30i set and add the P30i Medium Cushion as my free cushion.

For anyone with a front hose connection consider changing to a top inlet. I switched to an AirFit F30i and haven't looked back.

I am a big fan of the P30i. It's the most comfortable mask that I have tried. A huge evangelist for the top inlet too. means you can roll around and it doesn't bother you.

My issue is the headband that comes with the mask starts to go long before the mask is done. I haven't tried the alternatives that you can find on Amazon. Otherwise it's the best in my mind.

      • Is this for the nostril one or full face mask?

I sleep pretty dead straight on my back would the top intlet get in the way there?

        • The P30i has 2 prongs that go into your nostrils.

I also sleep on my back and don't have any issues with the hose. I also have a hose holder that lifts the tube off the bed which I find helps. But when I didn't use a hose holder I didn't find it got in the way.

        • Most places will let you try for 30 days.

I comprehensively compared Resmed to the Philips for top inlet / nostril. It's a very close call but I prefer the Philips.

        • Top inlet is very out-of-the-way for all types of sleepers. Very good in winter if you pull the bedding up a bit as you don't get a hose getting in the way. It swivels too, so you notice it even less if you move about.

      • What is the P30i vs N30i? The pics look the same?!?

        • +2

Basically the P30i has the little prongs that pop into your nostril where as the N30i cradles underneath your nostrils

I toss and turn a lot because of my spine issue.
The F30i allows me to constantly turn during the night without the worry of the hose.
I also hang my hose over the head of my bed. It's never an issue..

    • It's a good mask. Like a full face mask but without the pressing onto the nose. Top outlet makes it great for side sleeping.

Would be good if they designed the straps to last longer. Major design flaw. Think I'll buy off ali express and save some money

    • Agreed. I bought the strap off Temu and it is actually pretty good. Bit more elastic. 2 pack was cheap enough to risk it.

    • Buying the entire mask off AliExpress?

In my searches today for a P10 I found them available on both AliExpress for $115 delivered and eBay for $125 delivered, confused why they’re significantly cheaper than retailers like OP (albeit the extra pillow piece does make it similar pricing)

      • Because it's low volume, high margin stuff. Resmed makes enormous profits (their gross margin is almost 60%, way higher than Apple). So if you can get in on the supply chain somewhere then it's a good money maker.

      • +2

I would probably avoid purchasing the actual mask from Aliexpress. While I might be okay with buying the strap, the plastic mask that delivers humidified air to your lungs for over six hours every day needs to have undergone some quality control from a medical perspective.

        • Yeh this is what I was thinking too. They are Resmed branded though and apparently in the same sealed packages so if they're fakes they're very convincing. The eBay one's look like they come in the same packaging as well as Resmed but I'd assume those are from similar suppliers to AliExpress

A Paypal or Afterpay option would have been nice as I need to split it over the 4 payments. Oh well will have to look for an alternative out there.

  • Does ResMed mask subscription cheaper?
$5.5 p/w and get mask replaced every 6 months, so its $143 per each, installment with no interests no delivery fee no setup fee.

  • Anyone spotted a good deal on a USB-C power cable for the AirMini? I'd seen a few on Aliexpress but strangely they've all disappeared..

And the few Australian options are over $100 for what is simply just a converting cable from DC (we're not talking Thunderbolt with a microprocessor level of smarts)..

All the ResMed clinics allow you to rent masks so you can take one home for a week and keep trying until you find the mask that suits you best.

A reminder for those in NSW of the Enable program.
I got issued a Resmed machine last year for a $100 contribution.

    • Sadly I apply for it in January or February still waiting :(
