      I went to the sale on Wednesday and it was 40% off most items in the store. Only really excluded accessories/bags and 1 or 2 shoes. Got some new metcons and Air Force 1s

    I wonder how members will know what is actually included in the 'select' apparel and footwear?

    I've only ever noticed the 40% advertised in-store when it's a general sale for everyone (which doesn't start until Friday)

        They often had VF2s on sale but that was before the AF3 release at Birkenhead. You need to get in early though because they don't impose any buying limits and scalpers tend to clear it out.

      Here is what you do…

      The Nike App allows you to search what's in store, if you are located in the Nike Store….

      So you need to Fake your location.

      Get a Fake GPS location app on your phone (I have Android and its called "Fake GPS")
      Then set your location to be in the middle of the Nike store you want to go to.

      Next step is you open the Nike App, and if the Fake GPS is set correctly, the App will then allow you to search what is in store.

      So as a Runner, I am always looking for :
      Alphafly
      Vaporfly
      Zoom
      Fly

      These searches will give you an idea if the store has stock.

        Hard to trust the Nike app, is it fair to assume it's only for the normal stores? Doesn't seem that cheap or would include flash sales?

        May test that app, could be handy for 7 eleven l. Either way they don't really hold stuff and no online, just good to know what's on offer before going out.

          The app doesn't show prices, it will just tell you what's actually stocked in a store and the sizing.

          It uses the actual store database so you can use the app to show Nike staff something is in stock, even if it's not on the shelf, and they'll go looking for you. In my case they've looked in the back and found it was in their inventory but not on the shelf yet.

      Went to Birkenhead this morning - no Vaporfly. They had Pegasus Turbo Next Nature for $100 (so $60 after members discount) but this model's not really selling that well.

        Pegasus Turbo Nature is a very poorly reviewed running shoe, that's why. It's been in stock in their outlets for the past year basically, still not selling out. It's probably fine as a lifestyle walking shoe if you like the look but it shouldn't carry the Pegasus Turbo name (the real one).

          I don’t mind trying the Peg Next Natures as a tempo trainer though. It is pretty pacy but with not as much cushion as I would like for my heavier weight though.

      Actually most items were just flat out 40% off. This was on top of already discounted prices.
      Eg I got a Nike running top that was normally $50 RRP which was reduced to $35 in store and further reduced to $17 after the 40% off.

    Yeah hard to say what will be good unless you bother going.

    The 40% of storewide sales are better, includes already reduced items (back wall) which is where you can get some bargains.

        There is some good stuff to be found, but you basically have to be there when the doors open.
        Usually a bunch of re-sellers hit these sales, first thing is they hit the back walls, then go grabbing 10 boxes max of each shoe.

        Pay with Gift cards that have been bought with 10% discounted, mixed in with another Nike B'Day coupon.

        Rinse and repeat each 40% off sale

        Yeah mostly average but I have got lucky a few times.

        • Metcon 6'Deep Royal Blue Bright Mango'n ($70)
        • Air Max 1 '86 PRM QS ($85, 50% off marked reduced price)

        There are also blazer vintage 77 mids and lows etc cheap at times $54 or so but have to be lucky. The normal deals on here are pretty good usually (got the mids for $70).

        Still luck of the day depends if prepared to waste time going out all the time but you see people buying heaps to flip.

      yeah just a brief summary started in 2015 after we moved near to the harbour town outlet (gold coast):
      Nike rifts : $27 from $110 (they are a sandal type but one of my favourites. They were also a hype dc exclusive
      Nike free 5.0: $32 : Was old stock but still a good buy
      Jumpan two trey: $76
      Air force 1 low white: $90, two pair on wall, sold in three hours
      Juniper Trail: $27 funky shoe

      so will have something on the wall under $60 usually and sometimes around $30.

        Pegasus 40 for daily trainer. Very versatile.
        If you are a slightly heavier person then look at the Vomero 17.
        If you have a pronation or supination in your walk (or things like flat feet etc) and need some structure, maybe consider the Nike Structure of Infinity 3/4.
        Overall the Peg 40 is a great starter.

          I was at DFO and saw Pegasus 40 SE (special edition) and Pegasus 40 PRM (premium) and the regular Pegasus 40 .. all for 140 each with 40% off

      The Nike Invincible 3s that were there on Sunday were all missing though.

          In case people were wondering, I just got a $500 variable TCN Teen at Woolworths and can confirm that I got the $50 worth of Everyday Rewards credits based on the pop up that appeared on my POS terminal.
          This card can only be used in store and is definitely accepted in the Nike DFO stores.

    Got to say I’m enjoying my new Nike Infinity Run 4s. I have them rotated with my other cushioned trainers of the Nike Vomero 17 and Nike Infinity 3. FYI I’m a slightly heavy guy (83kg) so prefer the extra protection for my running plus when I’m wearing my weighted vest (10kg).
    I like the rocker geometry on the Infinity series which seems more ‘rocky’ on the 4s compared to the 3s.
    I love the Vomero 17s for the overall plushness and the feel that I’m putting my feet into a protective cushion.
    Other shoes I rotate through are my Nike Pegasus Trail 4 and Pegasus Trail 3 Goretex.
    My current Pegasus 40s have no tread on them after only 640km so I bought a replacement pair at the sale for general training.
    I hope everyone managed to find a good pair of shoes last weekend though and I’m glad I managed to get a few new shoes to burn through (I go through a pair every 2 months or so).

      Maybe new balance might be more durable? my recent pairs lasted a while. Did stop regular running in the last couple of years. Longest lasting were ones with plastic uppers/ "dad shoes". Think they don't make that style as you don't replace as often.

        Yeah it was a bit strange at how the outer sole was effectively ground down after only 640km. My Nike Trail 3 (702km) has a great outer sole still and still feels good albeit a bit less bouncy and my Trail 3 Goretex has 662km and is also going relatively strong (although both are now replaced by the equivalent Trail 4 and Trail 4 GTX).
        Yes I have a lot of shoes but I do about 100-150km a week. :-)

            @G-rig: I got say though that the Nike app was pretty good in finding stuff for me (or confirming the non existence of stuff). Annoying that you had to physically be in that location though.
            I still haven’t worked out how to do geolocation spoofing yet but might be tempted to just so I can periodically check certain items I’m looking out for.

              @danielh: In haven't tested it enough but i think the prices would apply to the main Nike store and any sale price is the normal sale price, not stock and flash sales/extra 40% off at outlets

              How close to that location, same city? I did position it near DFO but didn't seem any different to CBD store. Pointless if have to be in the store, just call up or go there.

              To be honest most of the sales elsewhere are better, with cashback too etc.

                @G-rig: I found the 40% off price really good. Especially when I paired it with a 10% off gift card.
                The app when it was properly geo coded to the DFO South Wharf store let me look up all the things I wanted to get and was really accurate about available sizes.
                I am desperate to get more Nike Spark non cushion ankle socks there so used the app to see if any were in stock. Only found cushioned ones.
