  • Surprisingly all of that only supplies the daily kilojoule needs of two adults.

    • Are you saying they're healthy? :D

      • Hes saying you wont become fat, if you eat just those.

    • Yes.. but that's assuming you don't eat anything else for that day thought.

That is sadly why people gain weight, they look at one box and go.. "oh! Half of daily only.".. do the same with chocolates, soft drinks, chips, Ice cream… and before you know it.. hello Hippo.

      • +5

Hippos are actually quite fast for their size.

      • +1

Worst part, people just assume thier metabolism is the same as standard for thier age, sex and height. It might be far below. Add to it those thread mill and watches showing more than people burning calories.

        • +1

So it's not the boxes of donuts?

    • +1

Aw was that an offer to take me out to smash 12 donuts each 😍

  • +3

    enjoy, fatties

  • +10

I'll take a 12 pack cinnamon for under 4 bucks from Woolies or Coles over these

    • +2

yep, when there is some sort of super special (usually an error lol) I might get some, but I like the Woolies 12 pack cinnamon (didn't really like the Coles ones) I just freeze them in a clip lock back and zap one in the microwave for 30 seconds when I want a "fresh" donut….just as good as the day they are bought.

      • even better toasted or airfried! crispy outside, soft inside mmmm

    • those woolies cinnamon sell fast, under $4 for 12. At my woolies they sell them to me with right person on duty with the sugar separate so that I can freeze some and add sugar as I thaw them for my morning coffee.

      • WOT

Do I go 'round the back and use the secret knock?

        • they get the donuts frozen and sugar is separate. my local takes them out about 6pm to thaw for the next day, if you get the junior staff doing after school job kids they might not be aware as the permanents have taken them out before the school kids start shift to thaw.

    • Is it becuase they are cheaper or tastier? i havent tasted woolies/coles donuts TBH.

      • +1

        Tastier.

I prefer cinnamon donuts to glazed.

I also like the one from Freo.. freshly fried and very very crunchy.

      • +2

        completely different types of donuts

I prefer the coles ones as i have them with my coffee, sure can get a little dry but never an issue for me and can always nuke it for a few seconds to warm it up if needed

    • +1

They are so dry, always give me hiccups.

    • +1

Throw them in the air fryer for a couple of minutes to crisp the outside, someone showed me this the other day. Amazing.

    • only donut king.
      freshly out of the fryer.
      mouth burning goodness

    • I saw these on discount of local grocery stores too.

they were discounted but definitely not $4. nobody was buying them the stand was full and they were going off in 2 days.

  • +3

Nice deal, unfortunate that its also trash quality when click and collect or delivery. always end up getting donuts with the glaze worn off, and not soft. in-store 1000% better quality

    • +3

I HATE it when my glaze wears off.

    • +1

Nice deal, unfortunate that its also trash quality when click and collect or delivery.

yeah probably because they ship out all the ones that are going bad in a day or two. they don't sell trust me I see the stand all the time.

I assume this doesn't apply to South Australia because the Shahin family's Peregrine Corporation cartel owns all of the Krispy Kreme locations here?

  • Free diabitus

    • +2

think australians are too smart. nobody buys them at my local the stand is always full and I check the expiry dates. probably going straight in the bin.

they probably have trouble selling enough at their stores which is why they have supermarket stands now with big logo and sign etc. 😂

      • my closest local is mounty county and they always run out of original glazed, but the other doughnuts definitely are being sold the next day

        • I don't know how they do it then. because to me 1 it's expensive. 2 it's overrated and too sugary.

but then again soft drinks and candy have no trouble selling right 🙅‍♀️

  • +4

Double it & give it to the next person.

  • +1

    A little bite won't hurt you :) https://youtu.be/tcd7w7NOR3A

    • who tf takes one bite and puts the rest in the fridge? dark empaths probably. 🙃

  • Me crying in ACT as we don't have any outlet to avail the offer 😔

  • +1

Online would mean next day & the last time I picked up from KK in Whitfords WA, the glaze donut was from yesterday made as the glaze had shrunk. Buyer Beware..

The worst quality would be at 7 elevens and woolies or other non KK stores as they were made who knows when.

I asked the servo guy how often he gets a shipment of them, and he says twice a week. He wouldn't tell me what days, says it always changes depending on supply.
