Recommendation for Wireless Carplay + Android Auto Adapter

Hi folks, just upgraded my Mazda6 infotainment from dealership. Now, I am looking for recommendation for wireless carplay + android auto adapter. I use android and wifey uses iPhone. Hence, something useful for both of us please. Also, want to know if any connection issue they may have. Thanks

    Same i want one too.
    Cx3 here. Apple and Android.
    From aliexpress is fine

    • thanks yeah, I did it too from aliexpress

  • What year Mazda 6 do you have?

    • 2018

      • Looks like you can get android auto/carplay adaptor boxes that will utilise your original screen. Should retain steering wheel controls etc.

I have a Carlinkit 5.0 or 2air that I got thanks to a post here for cheap and its been great.

I also bought a cheap mini one from Aliexpress for my sister and it seems fine but she never tried it long term as her car didn't like it. I tried it in my car in place of the Carlinkit one and it worked fine for me.

Note that I have an aftermarket Sony XAV-AX3000 head unit, can't say how it'll go in a legit Mazda infotainment.

    • is your car a Mazda too or something else?

Mazda 3 but a 2013 model that I ripped the original stereo out of and put a Sony headunit in (like this)

        • thanks for your recommendation. I bought CarlinKit 5.0 2air from aliexpress.

@Liveondead: Enjoy. Hopefully it works well for you. The feature to easily select whose phone to connect to when booting is so handy.

    I. Interested but would the normal wire is not bad? As usually we want to charge the phone anyway while using it or while in the car.

    • I wanted wireless feature so that I don't have to take my phone out of pocket and have the hassle of finding the cable and connecting it every time I wanted to use AA. I normally like to charge my phone at home or workplace not while in the car. Thanks for your feedback anyways :)

Yeah but I've been wondering about getting wireless AA myself. Short trips where you can't be bothered getting the phone out to plug in. Also allows you to use AA and plug the phone into a higher capacity charger (my care with in-built AA has a basic charger on the USB port).

I tend to switch to plugging in for long trips but yeah for short trips wireless is perfect.
