    Warning
They are the worst airline or have the worst airline staff for handling crises. Their attitude and service management are deplorable. From personal experience, when our flight was cancelled, they created chaos and put everyone in a difficult situation, including business class travellers. Overall, it is not worth a penny for the peace of mind. It's better to choose Singapore or other airlines.

    • What was the outcome of your complaint with the airline?

      • I am waiting for their response as they are still investigating it (looks like an excuse) and many of them are still waiting for their refund(s). The overall problem was their attitude and whatever they promised at Sydney Airport and their staff in Vietnam declined it.

    • Was refused priority check in at virgin in Perth, that is frustrating with zero shts given by virgin

    • I wonder if travel insurance would cover additional expenses for reaching the destination if a flight is canceled and you would end up missing a connecting flight that is on a separate booking, unless you buy an alternative flight yourself.

        Yes, yes they would.

      VJ v VN:

We decided to pay the Vietnam Airlines "premium" (over VJ) for our recent trip. The return flight was overnight, so we paid the ~$280 extra for Premium Economy.

While in Vietnam, we got an email that the A350 for our return flight didn't have Y+, and our options were to rebook to another flight, or be booked in Y with a full refund of the return fare. We accepted the downgrade + refund option.

When we arrived in Sydney, I sent an email to customer service requesting the refund. After confirming some details, the refund was processed around 1pm that afternoon.

The next morning, we saw the credits appear on our credit card.

Just came back from Vietnam twice in the last few months, vietjet and jetstar, flights were full of indian demographic and barely any Vietnamese or western any ideas why this is?

One young male kept putting his elbow into my stomach, had no concept of personal space, nor basic respect for others (me first) , almost got heated as he refused to stay within his seat…then suddenly his 3 mates showed up and he disappeared down the plane

Never had this before on a plane, other airlines were twice the price

It's cheapest option to fly to India atm. Many Indian cities are covered by them which were not served by other major airlines.

      • most were on the flights coming to Australia

Vietnam is also Indias new cheap destination of choice. Been there twice in last two years and my hotels have been packed with Indian tourists. The pollution in HCMC and Hanoi is also of no concern for Indians.
Personally I can't stand the pollution in vietnam any more. Pity.

I've never been able to find any fares with discount code applied.
