By mid afternoon I was the only one to have used this $10 voucher so you don't have to worry about the 20 person limit. Also no one is keeping track.

Example:
Purchase the Thermaltake Smart BX1 550W 80 Plus Bronze Non Modular Power Supply (normally $63) and Kingston Fury Beast DDR4 16GB (2 x 8GB) CL17 3600MHz Desktop RAM (normally $58). Show them this barcode to get the $10 discount https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.centrecom.c…

Pair with a Ryzen 5 5500 $131.10 Centrecom with coupon code ALOHA (separate online order)

Then buy a Gigabyte AM4 MicroATX B550M S2H DDR4 Motherboard REFURB from Metrocom ebay for $94 after applying the ebay plus coupon code MYPLUSPXQ354JD7M. Includes free shipping. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/256372724096?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

would strongly suggest against buying anything expensive here, their warranty policy is just "it's customer induced damage, denied".
I've had them deny a DOA GPU that just never worked from the box and a friends motherboard that he thought ram channel A was broken on but was fine just CPU issue, both stated customer damage, refused to show any signs of damage or where damage was and told us to shove it, MSI did take the GPU for warranty and said theres no damage its just DOA, motherboards still in use working fine.

Wow! Stores do this now  - event ticketing for sales

    • Did one last year at Nunawading, great deal as it includes everything even GPUs.

    • Wow, how'd you find this?
Any way to know if they do this for Sydney too?

      • You can see it in their mainpage banner.

        • Yea, i'll have to keep scrolling often. That's how I found their $10 off deal too.

          • @lordra: I'll prob snag a gpu. dunno if the price is still alright though. 1690 for the 4080 strix after discount

          • @lordra: nvm, they somehow placed all the 4080 and above all on out of stock and backorder before the VIP sale. dodgy asf, aint worth the visit anymore.

            • @Inyokuchi: What b@st@rd$.
Is it possible for you to order for it and pay for it then and there and they would honour that price and deliver it home?

Or was this a classic bait and switch?

              • @lordra: Nah, I also thought the same thing and asked if I pay for it then and have a stock transfer from a different store but it has to be in stock. The more sly thing is the person who I was talking to mentioned that 4080s and above might not be on the discount list. Wtf is that? Their banner says everything is 15% off and I should wait for the email to confirm thats on sale or not. I just don't believe its a coincidence that all 4080 cards and above are out of stock cause it was popular and backordered by real customers. I just doublechecked and the cards below are all in stock. even the lower tier 4080s & 90s aren't available.

                • @Inyokuchi: That's a shame.
Just hold off for EOFY in the next 6 weeks and see what comes your way.
Is it a particular 4080S that you're looking for? I'll keep an eye out as well, see what comes our way.

                  • @lordra: Yeah, might do that. I saw that nunawading is having the same storewide sale. I'll prob see if they pull the same bullshit trick on the 25th. Funny story, I called Sunshine to confirm stock but got transferred to their head office instead. The lady there seems inept in tech and its prices, she just assumed that cause all stock is gone means everyone bought it out due to popularity. I used to work centrecom and this tactic is no surprise to me… no idiots would buy it out especially before the storewide sale and when 50 series come out.

I am looking for ASUS or AORUS cards. the 1580 TUF was appealing and so was the 1699 strix after discount. I dont understand why they would hoard those cards especially when 50 series come out. Unless they anticipate ppl would still buy cause greevidia would inflate the new cards by 20-30%

                  • @lordra: Update: I was able to call up and confirm to get one on hold. They didn't specify non oc or oc and went in to find out it was OC so I had to revert back to the tuf. Was able to get it at 1580$, which was -10% gross profit for them which is a good sight to see. Had issues at the counter as the cashier mentioned no discount on the 4080 and 4090 series card. They are all so disorganised and had to ask the manager…

                    • @Inyokuchi: I'm glad you stood your ground and was able to find one in store. They would be in deep soup if they said the cards were excluded because it doesn't say that anywhere on their website. I'm glad you were able to get yourself a good deal on the 4080Super. Why didn't you want the OC version? (genuine question, I have no idea of pros or cons).

                      • +1

@lordra: OC was 200$ more than the TUF and 100$ more than the base strix and it's just factory overclocked. The non OC can OC the same as an OC. They just using the tactic to grab more cash. Can't justify the price

                        • @Inyokuchi: True techhy ozbargainer. +1
                          This is the way. 👍

                            @lordra: This is the way.

I was able to undervolt at same clock rate and then boosted it by 2000mhz. It is sometimes stable but was able to 5% gains out of it.

I also spoke with a rando there planning to build his set up. I looked at his list but decided to middle finger centrecom and redirected him to the prebuilts at Ozbargain. I am also pretty sure I saw a dude paying 4090 at full price cause all the cashiers are miscommunicated beforehand that 4080 and 4090s weren't on sale. Good amount of ppl there were only buying 4070 ti supers and below

I looked at what it offers on facebook.

It does NOT say, as the title of this thread asserts, that it is $10 off a spend greater than $100.

What it says it "spend over $100 and save $10 off everything in the store".

The plain English interpretation of the offer is that if you spend over $100, you get $10 off each item you buy. Right?

If that's not what they mean, they should have said what they mean.

    • 100% agreed with you on this.

So I rang the store and asked. The guy was surprised it was still up.
I asked if I spent $100, if I would get $10 off against every item on my invoice?
The guy laughed, snorted at me.
He confirmed that it was NOT that. It was $10 off against the entire invoice.

Btw, the barcode is on the home page of the website too.
At the banner that scrolls, the 7th image.
