50gb for $10 available here, stack with cashback at cashrewards for a 30 cent out of pocket cost. On the Optus 4G/5G network capped at 100mbps

    • Kogan uses voda just FYI

      • Yeah i know that. Very few places id expect voda to be better then optus in sydney… Voda’s speeds in the Sydney cbd are trash

Yeah but for some, and I'm sure it's the minority, voda provides the strongest network.

On my travels at times I have had terrible signal on other networks but voda was the best of em. In metro areas usually telstra/optus has been better for me ymmv

          • @Chocobros: Depending on where you were, that great signal may have been b5 5mhz. a mere 24mbps of capacity per cell based on a 1x1 deployment.

            • @Quarter Pounder: I'm not tech savvy and you sound like you are. It was still not great signal on voda but faster than telstra and optus. Was inside buildings if that makes a difference

              • @Chocobros: Ahh might have been a voda das (distributed antenna system) installed in the building.

@Chocobros: Amaysim Stinks, everyone that called me couldn't even get a dial tone.

Luckily I only bought a month prepaid, Never again.

I've had Vodafone, it's the same as comparing chalk and cheese.
Hopefully kogan is the same as Vodafone

    • You neg because of gb?

I don't care for data, I have wifi

  • What happens with Kogan regarding once the plan ends?

Does the number stay active for a while?

Is it possible to receive SMS's overseas?

    Thanks

What happens with Kogan regarding once the plan ends? Does the number stay active for a while?

Your mobile phone number will be reserved for 90 days past plan expiry. If you do not recharge within 90 days, you will not be able to keep your existing mobile phone number, and your account will be deactivated. Once your mobile number is lost Kogan Mobile is unable to retrieve it for you.\

Is it possible to receive SMS's overseas?

SMS messages can be received from any destination.

Have to call Kogan to cancel FYI, unless you port out. The online cancellation is long gone

    • Yeah, that's the most painful one to cancel it.

    • Or… just leave $0 on your card and cancel the card with your bank. After 30 days of not being able to charge your card, they give up.

    • Try this method and report back, thanks!
