Fantastic device, use ours almost daily, does an outstanding job on hardwood floors.

  • +1

Around the same price from Amazon, if you buy station together it will get a bit cheaper on both.

    • yep the built in dust bin container is so small ….

      • +5

You can get the larger dust bin for $28.80 delivered using code "lubluelu20"

        • +2

They gave it to me free last deal because I told them the 4000pa and 3000pa was very confusing.

        • Assuming this works with the 61d also?

        • +6

beware, the larger dustbin doesn't work with the auto-empty bin. learnt this the expensive way!!!

          • @derdew: Strange that it isn't, Wonder why
You would think shape etc be same

            • @Glyde62: yes it is, and they didn't make that very clear when I bought it. the metal charging contacts are in a different place (on the bottom, not the back), hence no workey grrr….

              • @derdew: Sounds like a poor oversight by the manufacturer. Surely some MacGyver can figure out a retrofit…

    • +1

How good is the station? Is it really worth the price in terms of time and effort saved? Thanks!

      • +6

Loud when emptying - it's like a small jet turbine - but very effective, and the bags are relatively easy to re-use, just stick your fingers in and pull the larger debris (in my house mostly pet hair) out. Even with a full vacuum twice over every 2-3 days it took about a month for the bag to get half full.

        • +1

Stick you main house vac nozzle into the bag … 3 secs later it is all sucked out.
Also, if you can catch the robo vac before it auto-docs, just do a quick manual empty into the house kitchen waste bin.
Both extend the life of the auto-dock bag.
On occasion, spray a real quick blast of fly spray into the bag. Just kills off any bugs.

      • +2

Honestly, it takes less than a minute to eject the dust collector, empty it, then return it. If I had pets that shed, that might be a different story.

        • +3

Yeah but, wot if yer lazy, like me? It's brilliant!

        • +1

Had the same opinion but then I got the auto empty station ($100 after $60 refund when I requested an ebay return), it's just so easy to turn on (or set & forget) and it does it's thing and empties.

      • +2

I love mine, as others have said it gets loud when it docks and empties. You can configure it to only empty every other visit to the station.

I have pets so it was a must otherwise I'd have to empty it myself every 2 or 3 days.

    • Doesn't it come with the station? Is that a different add-on, what does it do?

      • +1

Not at that price. The station is usually about $180 stand alone. The robot docks with the station after cleaning and empties itself, then recharges.

      • +1

It comes with a recharging dock, which it returns to after vacuuming as you'd expect. With this dock you generally need to empty the dust container after every one or two cleans, depending on your home.

The self-emptying station is an additional purchase ($130-$180 depending on when and where you purchase). It vacuums the contents of the dust container into a vacuum bag after each clean, so you just need to empty or replace the bag every month or three.

        • +1

With this dock you generally need to empty the dust container after every one or two cleans, depending on your home.

If you don't have pets or carpets, I think don't need to empty it everytime.

    • Can't see on amazon

have it for a week, battery lasts for around an hour which is probably 10minutes short of being able to do the 1st floor in one go. Charging also take forever.

currently checking with support if this is the way it should be….

    • Charging also take forever.

      Around how long?

Battery didn't last very long, have to do upstairs and downstairs with 2 charges.

      • +1

I have not measured it but at a guess 8 hours? long enough for it to take two days to get the whole floor cleaned.

I know its complaining on high level considering the price but they advertised 120min online and my old unit had no issues doing it all.

I have an older Roborock downstairs and bought this one with dust bin for upstairs as I was sick of carrying it up and down and changing / deleting the map.

        • I have not measured it but at a guess 8 hours?

I don't need that long to recharge it, one charge not enough to finish upstairs and downstairs, especially if you have carpets.

        • That's one feature I really wish they'd upgrade, the ability to swap between maps if you manually move the robot between floors / zones, as I also do.

          • +1

@Ham Dragon: You can - it's not too hard.

            • @theguyrules: Enlighten us all then please…

              • +8

@Ham Dragon: Settings -> Room Map Manage. You can save multiple maps and then just click "use this map"
                https://share.cleanshot.com/FlbhRq0T

              • +2

@Ham Dragon: Settings > Room Map Manage >. Choose the room map you want. Takes 5 seconds.

You can store 5 maps at any one time.

I have the original charging dock in one space, and the Self Emptying Station in the main area. So even when it's in the second space it can go and recharge if it needs to.

          • +1

@Ham Dragon: You can! I am doing it right now. I keep the charging base downstairs. I just took the robot upstairs, switched the map in the app and then pressed start. It took a moment to 'look around' and work out where it was, then it started cleaning. However, when it's finished it will roam around upstairs searching for the charging base, and since there is none, it will shut down. Carry it back downstairs, swap the map again, then hit recharge. Easy.

        • As I remember from last deal, somebody complained about the battery and they refunded them and let them keep it.

        • +1

Battery aside, how do you find the performance of this one compared to your Roborock?

I’ve got a 4+ year old Roborock S50 and am debating the merit of a similar upgrade…

          • +1

@UncleRico: Yea mine is the S5 or is it called s50 too, we are using ist for at least 8 years and I recently replaced the battery.
In terms of comparison (on carpet) I do. Believe the lublue sucks up more dirt compared to the roborock. Also it seems it lays out the cleaning pattern better than the roborock.
My only complaint really is the battery life, the bin is also smaller but appears not to be an issue.

that's after one week of usage, I have not tried the dust bin yet or the mopping function.

            • @Olli: Thanks for the feedback. Awesome work…

        • Downsize will fix the problem.

    • +2

I just checked my app. Downstairs takes over 80 minutes - all tile and carpet theatre (auto extra suction). The robot still has about 20-25% left. Upstairs slightly smaller and is mostly carpet (extra suction) and it gets down to about 15-20%.

I can easily do both levels in half a day. I'll often clean upstairs in the morning, carry it downstairs and recharge, then remotely initiate a downstairs clean. This thing saves me an insane amount of time.

    • +2

We have one from the last Black Friday sale, so about 6 months old. Our large is house & carpeted. I found I had to stage the cleaning because the "resume cleaning" didn't. I'm told that's been fixed but I haven't bothered checking.

Anyhow, the vac cleans for about an hour, on four days each week. The battery hasn't deteriorated, but it chews up ~60% is for each cleaning cycle.

Basically I'm very happy with ir.

On the downside, the mop function is only good for spreading the muck around.

    • When it's on standard suction I get the claimed minutes, but if I do upstairs that is all carpet it will do max suction, and I think I'm getting about 20% less battery while it does it on max suction.

The charging is slow, I haven't timed mine, but from near empty to full does take around 2 or 3 hours to charge.

    • From my experience, battery life is quite good. After home floor is done, in Eco mode the battery indicator shows 35% left, in Normal mode the leftover battery is about 20%. Haven’t used the highest suction mode, so can’t comment on that. Overall, I am quite happy with the machine and its performance.

  • Is this good for mopping?

    • +2

The water tank is comically small. But does a decent job

      • Is it enough for a small unit about 60-70 sqm in one go?

        • +3

For mopping look elsewhere, it's just drags a wet microfiber cloth around. It does something but not much imo… Vacuuming is pretty good though, happy with mine.

    • +2

60-70 sqm should be fine in one go. however I wouldn't buy one if mopping is a big thing you're looking for. As others have said it just drags a cloth around, so it's not about to clean up a spilled drink or sticky stuff on the floor.

I will say I was surprised at how much dirt the mop cloth had on it after it did my place. Before it started I had already mopped a few weeks before, so I wasn't expecting it to pick up much, but it clearly was as the cloth needed cleaning after.

The other issue with the mop is you need to take the cloth off it once it's done as it doesn't dry very well when it's charging with the cloth on.

For me I get it to mop once every 2 weeks, I'll manually fill the tank up and put a clean cloth on it and send it off. Each day just after I leave for work it auto starts a vacuum only job.

    • +2

Might be a faulty unit? It's great that you got your money back though.

      • +3

I would say faulty unit as no issues with mine and it does suck up the carpet

    • +11

Neg for a faulty unit from a different merchant isn't very fair

    • +2

You'll find a lot of robot vacuums (this included) have their suction set to Standard and that's not the highest pa level. Changing it to high/turbo or whatever the app decides to call it will. And/or they have something like carpet boost.

      • +3

This unit automatically boosts suction on carpet and rugs. You can also set the boost level i.e. full suction on tiles.

    • +2

I've had none of these issues and have been pleasantly surprised with it. Going well on both carpet and hardwood floor. I only use the vacuum not the mopping. I also haven't paid that much attention to the charge time since I dont typically vacuum more than once every few days anyway. I would say occasionally it requires manual emptying as sometimes it doesnt fully evacuate its innards into the dock station. But that's about it.

    • +4

sounds faulty. I am not affiliated with the company but received really good customer service via email.

mine wouldn't dock and they sent a new auto empty bin (new 2.5L version). it continued to not dock and I sent evidence like the first time. and they sent a new robot vacuum (same model). this time the robot does work properly and it's doing great.

      • I should mention the original robot vacuum wouldn’t dock with tbe 2L bin. I never tried the dock that came in the box

    • Yours was 100% faulty.

I've got 2 myself, one for each floor and haven't had any issues yet.

  • Where to get the compatible cost effective dust bin bag for the sd85 bin unit?

  • +1

Good deal, service has been great too.

The sticker velcro's were coming off the mop holder and they sent a new one with some spare mop pads.

  • +7

Bought one in January, which had lived a short, yet hard life cleaning up mess from the kids.

The vacuum stopped working about a month ago (stopped suctioning) so Lubluelu sent me a brand new one.
Kept the old one for spare parts.

Highly recommend the vacuum. Does a fantastic job for the price.

  • +2

Got one last time and absolutely love it. Only use the vacuum and not the mop.

  • +8

Possibly a glitch on the website and not sure it will be honoured, but if you go to the dust bin page at https://lubluelu.com/collections/sl60d/products/lubluelu-dus… you can add a bundle with the white vacuum for a greater discount.

Actually I checked again, and this bundle also seems to be available on the vacuum page at https://lubluelu.com/products/lubluelu-sl60d-robot-vacuum-iv….

It whinged a lot about the item being out of stock through the process, but ultimately let me check out for $210.97 and I have received a confirmation email from Lubluelu. I bought another one for the olds and that went through without any warnings, so hopefully legit.

    • +1

      Ball-tearer - thanks!

Here’s hoping the additional bundled dust bin is the larger one you use in lieu of the mop. There’s very little detail on the bundles page, but at the price, I’m happy to roll the dice.

      Thanks!

    • Not visible to me - perhaps they have taken it down?

    • Has this been removed now? I can't see the bundle option

    • Looks like it’s been fixed

      Outstanding Ozbargaining 🫶🏻

  • +6

I bought one last year, liked it so much I bought a second one for upstairs, and another for my elderly parents. I've now got four friends who've also bought them on my recommendation. Nobody's had a complaint so far!

    • +5

How does it do at cleaning your elderly parents?

      • Gets all the dust off nicely, but I haven't tried the mopping function yet. ;-)

  • +1

This looks very similar to my beloved Roborock S5 Max which sadly died. Any chance anyone had both and can comment if results are similar?

    • i got this from amazon and returned it. it gets stuck more compared to my s5 max

  • I see the pop up for 20% off. Does it stack?

    • +3

The code doesn't, but see my post above about the dust bin bundle for the white vacuum.

      • +1

        Thanks

      • It shows 237 for me

    • just tried, it doesnt stack. The promo code is lubluelu20

      • +3

Pretty disappointing considering it says "Valid on all items without any restrictions"

  • site got ozb-ed

The perfect robovac for Bob Loblaw.

    • +4

      Bob loblaw's lubluelu blog?

      • Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed?

  • Anyone know if this can share the same automatic self cleaning dustbin with another identical vacuum?

  • Tempting - house I’m renting should’ve been restumped 15 years ago, so the floor is uneven in the kitchen and there’s a few slopes to navigate. Also like 2ish cm protrusions between rooms it’d need to climb over. Does anyone with one of these reckon that’ll be a problem? Or fine to handle those minor obstacles

    • +1

Might be possible. I have a clothing rack with legs that span across the floor. It can climb that, it’s not easy for it though

      • Worth a pop I reckon. It seems when buying directly from the website, they tend to partially refund whenever someone’s dissatisfied rather than go through the return process, so at this price and some good reviews, why not eh

  • Has anyone found a teardown of this vac? A quick google search didn't find any useful hits.

  • +3

Purchased with larger dust collector and discount code. = happy.

    • Is the larger dust collector still visible for yourself anywhere? Looks to be out of stock on their eBay, only other listing is for $60 from a third party seller lol

      • -1
        • 404 not found, RIP

All good should be back in stock soon anyway eh

          • +1

@XxBargainHuntaxX: Damn! Sorry mate! The "lubluelu20" code is perpetual so just wait for a restock and you'll get it for a good price. I recommend grabbing a spare brush roller and set of brushes if you are a heavy user.

  • +1

Fantastic device, use 3 unit almost daily on tile & laminated floors
    No complain at all.
    worth every penny..
