Readers please be aware of the negativity surrounding this brand
    My own experience

Sorry for the lukewarm reception, OP - But welcome to OzBargain! Hope this doesn't discourage you from contributing to the community: Congrats on your first post!

    • I also had a disgusting experience. Almost ruined a family members wedding and added stress.

They refunded in the end but would never go near them.

Unprofessional tailors measure up and then it's sent to China and mass produced.

      Stay away!

That's an insanely good price for a made to measure shirt. Bit misleading since most of their shirts are 99/109/119, but whatever.

  • InStitchu was previously banned for sock puppeting. Read the threads posted by bossmode - many bad reviews in there.

  • Good deal for this price if you want to give them a shot but I never liked their shirts. I was measured in their North Sydney store and when the shirts arrived they did not fit well at all. I went back to the same store to be remeasured so the shirts could be remade after which I was still was not happy with the fit.

I now use Proper Cloth - they have more fabric choices and arrive faster. When I ordered from Institchu it was a 6 week wait, only takes 2 or 3 weeks with Proper Cloth. I also find that my shirts from Proper Cloth fit much better and are a much nicer fabric.

My advice is to measure a shirt you already own which fits well instead of trying to measure your body - this gave me a better result.

    • Link for proper cloth?

        • out of curiosity, whats the cost like?

@Jonski: it is not cheap. Depending on which fabric you choose a shirt can range from $100 to $200. Worth it for me as I couldn’t find shirts which fit me suitably for wearing untucked on office casual Friday’s. I am short but not slim enough for the shirts which were the right length for leaving untucked (which is how I like to wear my shirt on more casual days)

    • Yes, read the reviews people. Reddit has some amazingly funny threads of comical commisions from InStichu and similar mass market "MTM" retailers. Just because something is marked "MTM", doesn't mean it'll be good fit and quality wise.

You're better off spending on off the track, quality shirts than using a dodgy MTM service like InStichhu. They are not tailors, the people in the store are poorly trained salespeople.

Proper Cloth and Luxire are the first goto places for decent online MTM/bordering on bespoke clothing. They actually have a library of clothes from various well-known makers. However, go in with the expectation of not having a PERFECT first commission, unless you send in a well fitting shirt for replication.
