promotional pricing for the first 6 months of service and will revert back to standard price in month 7 of your plan.
Standard monthly cost as follows: NBN 12 is $49.90, NBN 25 is $59.90, NBN 50 is $64.90.

From $39.90 to $ 54.90? This is not a reduction.

Personally I think it's quite unethical for them to put up the price of 39.90 on their page, with a tiny asterisk and tiny notes that says the price is after discount, and the normal priced will be 49.90 after 6 months.

People might jump in based on the face value. I just think it's not very ethical to do so.

12mbps is pretty slow for that price

    • Very slow when you factor in that it's never a true 12mbps - more likely to be between 6-9mbps

  • Flip Tv NBN have reduced their NBN price. From $39.90 to $ 54.90.

OP is that correct or do you mean "From $54.90 to $39.90"? Your 'edit' button is between 'view' and 'revisions'.

    Funny stuff from their AUP

You must not disrupt or attempt to disrupt online forums by posting a large number of messages that contain no substantive content."

You must not use the service in a manner, which, interferes with the rights of
other users. For example, you must not: (i) provide false user information to us or other users,"

The wrong ISP for some people clearly… ;)

Dare to call itself broadband when it comes to just 12Mb and is the theoretical max speed. This country needs to see what’s out there in the world.

    • i think a large chunk of the population is oblivious and 'happy' with the current situation, or not kicking up enough of a fuss to fuel progress. luckily im on 100/40, but it could always be better.

  • $40 per month for 12/1 is Exetel's standard price.

That's for 100GB. This is 'unlimited'.

      venomqo,

compared to my current dsl speed, 12/1 is lightning fast, wanna swap lines?

my neighbour cannot even get dsl…

  • +2

Sounds good to me, 12 is adequate.
    I'd rather pay 40 than 55

  • This is a typo surely? It must mean 12 MB/s.

  • Some of their review's seem fake to me.

    FYI:

I am currently on the customer service phone line waiting to talk to support. I am number 2 on waiting, and need to wait 12 minutes. (while typing this up, someone picked up at 20 minutes, and after checking my identity, straight put me to tech support… which I am not sure how long more is the wait……)

On my 3rd week with FlipTv NBN Fast 50 Plan. To be honest, you get what you pay for.

-You get little information when you sign up.
-Speed is no where close to the "TYPICAL EVENING SPEED" of 43mb. It is most of the time around 20-30mb WHEN IT WORKS.
-I am on the phone because the internet literally DOES NOT CONNECT.
-Since connected to FLIPTV, the ping although states 20ms, takes the pages very long to respond (these are basic websites like gmail). Assuming it is more like a ping of 100ms or 200ms. Only 1 person using at the time (housemates were out).

I was previously with DODO 12mb Plan, although the speed was slower, it was stable. You knew it would work, just needed a little patience. Personally, at 12mb, most videos on youtube would still play at decent quality.

So NO. NO FLIP TV for me.
