Good price, but I'm not sure about Patriot's warranty.

  • The timings are important - From the web page:

    Capacity: 32GB(2x16GB) Voltage: 1.35V; tested frequency: PC4-25600 (3200MHz), tested timings: 16-18-18-36

    And a Toms Hardware review:
    https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/patriot-viper-steel-dra…

  • Would anyone prefer this over the Corsair Vengeance LPX series equivalent?

    • People who prefer to save $41 compared to memory with identical frequency and timings? :-)

      https://www.amazon.com.au/Corsair-Vengeance-3200MHz-Desktop-…

      • Cost is one variable (arguably one of the important ones).
There's the height if you're conscious of the cpu cooler compatibility.
There's the memory die too. Someone reviewed it mentioned it's a Hynix C die. Whereas depending on which Vengeance you get, it could be a Samsung B die.

        • Had lots of dramas with the Vengeance LPX 4.32 off Amazon. Would fail memtest86 on XMP profile. Had to manually set all settings based on Ryzen Dram calculator.

          • @Ragnarok1983: Ouch. Am wondering whether these patriots would work nicely with the ryzen…

Edit: I read somewhere that the V4.32 is Samsung die, supposedly good and can hold a decent overclock

Or if you want it sooner (in stock now) and don't mind red (same timings and also 3200), or the product description being in French (but the box is in English), you could get this one, also on Amazon AU via Amazon US. https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B01E1XR5X6/ref=ppx_yo_d…

It's very weird that the French product description (on Amazon US) has a lower price than the English product description but there it is.

  • I want memory

  • Saw that one, plus the Viper for the same price. Excellent deal, but my faith in Patriot's warranty system and product outweighs my desire to save money …… also 3200MHz is a step below the tier I'd set myself.

I'll probably go for the G.Skill Royal instead as it's on special at a local supplier (PCCG) and hits my min speed of 3600MHz.

……. still, you've made me pause again to think about it.
