Suggestions for Ear Buds for Sleep - Alternative to Bose Sleep Buds

Hi everyone, as the description suggests my family member has significant issues with sleep due to noise etc and I was planning on trialling the Bose sleep buds but it looks like its all been recalled due to battery issues.

Wondering if anyone has any alternative suggestions for buds that are great/comfortable for sleep that they use? I have heard the qc 20/30 series are comfortable but not sure what they would be like for long-term/regular use?

Many thanks in advance.

    • thanks for this but was wanting something to play music/ambient noise on

  • I’m a side sleeper and I can sleep with my Ultimate Ears UE900s as they sit flat against my head, they do go real deep in the ear canal though.

You can replace the cable with a lightning or Bluetooth (haven’t looked into USB c but I’m sure that’s a possibility too)

  • I buy the $2 ones from Officeworks as I'll often pull down the iPad when I'm asleep and I can fumble with my eyes closed to find them. I would prolly lose just the buds somewhere in the bed and these ones are good enough to block out the snoring! I usually buy a few spares and they last me 12 months or so before they crack or bend the 3mm plug rendering them useless.

  • I currently use (and really like) the Shure se215 for sleeping. I use it with the 2nd gen Bluetooth cable -Bt2. The set will cost you around ~$250, or you can get the 1st gen cable set for aroud 170, but battery life is worse. It's great cause it sits flat in your ear so can sleep on your side

Im a shift worker and I feel like I've tried every ear plug known to man.
In my opinion, these are the best https://www.alpinehearingprotection.com/earplugs/sleepsoft/
The reason I like them is, they dont fall out, they are soft so arent uncomfortable and they dont block out all noise. They muffle all the noises that wake you up, traffic, snoring etc but you can still hear your alarm going off.
That works better for me cos with ones that make you completely deaf, I cant relax and start thinking the burglar will kill me or the house will burn down and that stops me sleeping. Sleep is such a psychological thing, stuff like that counts.
Those prices are in US$ direct from the manufacturer in the Netherlands, worth every cent.
They are available from lots of Australian online stores but usually more expensive. Recently the design was updated so that it has a gripper handle for removing them, get those ones if you can. I've got to use tweezers to take out the old design.

Edit: Ive just reread and seen you want to play music. Obviously these dont but maybe worth considering.

    • Which ones make you completely deaf? Those are the ones I need
