Been there, done that. Now waiting for the Cashback.

You need to transfer $1.1k instead of the original $500ish

  • Thanks op, missed out on the last bonus, this is better. Felt a bit weird parting with $1.1k but from last deal it all seems legit

  • Can you use a Citibank global currency account in GBP for the bank account?

    • No option to add Australian bank accounts, only British in GBP.

Can you use this if you have an existing UK bank account?

    • Don't see why not

  • FYI, cashback can be withdrawn into PayPal. Admittedly rate isn't great but in my case saved me from having to deal with Transfer Wise.

    1. Setup a virtual UK bank account in your name with TransferWise. Use an OzBargain referral link to sign up for a fee-free transfer of up to £500.

If you need to transfer £600 back to an AUD account via TransferWise (last step), does that mean that there is a fee for transferring?

    • Yes there'll be fees and exchange rate reductions… So GBP600 equals about $1177.60 when you claim the cashback, but when you retrieve it back via TransferWise you'll only get back $1157.65 at today's rates. That's $19.95 lost but offset by your cashback gain.

      • Thanks bud. So assuming the cashback amount is $106.16 per deal title, then the overall profit is $86.21?

Yep give or take depending on FX rates on day of withdrawal

  • Cashplus is requiring a residential address in the UK, so a valid one was entered upon signup. Real UK mobile used from Sonetel. Cashplus is now requesting certified documents and proof of identity and UK address, unable to continue. Are there any alternatives? The Transferwise account I've had a long time which is okay.

    • Did you sign up with cash plus? Why? I was able to transfer fine with non existing address using worldremit

All world remit does is ask which bank you are transferring to, it does not actually check it

      • I misread that OP used Cashplus. Looks like he only selected it as the bank option, have gone back and done it again with the transfer. Let's see if it works!

  • Wonder what, if anything, will happen to the exchange rate on the 31st when brexit is official? Might be worth leaving the money on the gbp account until after?

  • What address should I use for transfer wise? Can cashback transaction be done over a few separate clicks or must be done in a single click without leaving the page? Ta.

  • Do I have to fund first and send from my transfer wise account? Thanks

  • Turns out I have opened an account with worldremit but never transferred funds. Just wondering whether I could use the account for this offer or …. Will appreciate some advice here.

Needs to be a new account

"Cashback for a new customer registering and sending their first money transfer of £600 - Cashback may initially track lower but will later uplift."

      • Thanks for that. Does topcashback offer have to be a complete new registration and account?

  • Hi OP, is this offer still active? The banner ad on my TopCashback profile homepage shows the time remaining as ~4 hours but when I click it, the offer page says "Times up!". Confused! O.o?

  • So I completed the whole process and went into TransferWise to transfer funds back to my AU account, and it literally took 3 minutes. As in the 1.1K is now back in my account after 3 mins. Super impressed. Lost $18 doing this hack, the cashback better come through!

  • Anyone credited there cash back yet? I did this on Jan 15 and still pending.

  • In the same boat, did it on Jan 16, still pending. More that 3 weeks have passed already

    • Mine now shows as confirmed on TopCash - but it has been longer than 3 weeks since the transfer was processed

  • Mine is also shows up as confirmed, but not payable yet

  • My cashback has become available - but only 50 quid rather than 55.

    • Mines been available a little while now, including the 5 pound referral credit I got 60 quid
