I was excited about the x1 deal until I realised it was an 8 gen i5. Looks like they are just clearing out old stock

    • +1

Yeah the previous x1 carbon gen 8 deal which was only ~100 more makes this a garbage deal… my inner ozbargainer can't let me get this knowing what I missed.

    • +5

Yeah this deal is literally clearing out the old crap and hoping some suckers don't realise because it's labelled a 'deal' not realising the deal is for the company not the customer 🤣😂.

  • this e15 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/553165 ?
and the e14 posted by TA earlier?

    • Not that I can see. I did search prior to posting, but I have been known to miss previous posts and had deals removed. The only one from TA that I can find is this one, and it has a different coupon code.

      • yeah, TA's coupon is still cheaper after all

  • +3

gah, why are they still only offering a 250nit screen for the e model? no reason yet for me to upgrade my dim 4 year old one.

    • +2

      My biggest annoyance….

    • +2

They should follow the times and offer 400nit.

Why does the Lenovo Duet Chromebook not appear on the website?

    • -4

      because Lenovo hates you…?

  • The X1 has been that price for weeks. I've been keeping an eye on it since before the gen 8 deal.

  • Not sure what the upvotes are about, no bargains here.

No deals for the S540 I guess. Waited around for any deals after the Education store one the other week, guess there was nothing :(

    • +1

Yeah me too. Need to use my Amex deal as well!

      • +1

Good luck to us both mate! I was gonna buy but then someone said 11.11 sales.

Oh well, it's been on sale like a few times already in the last month or two, so will just wait a bit longer.

        • +1

S540 13 R7 is no where on the site. Only R5.

          • @ChipsChicky: Luckily I pulled trigger on this model on last sale. But delivery time is 2 months. Still waiting.

            • @nepaus: I pulled the trigger too. Its showing expected arrival by 27 Nov which is 3weeks for me. Someone else also reported that it was delivered in 3 weeks. Fingers crossed.

              • @ChipsChicky: Mine is showing Dec 9. My purchase was made on 6 Nov.

                • @nepaus: My order was placed on 3rd Nov … I just checked again and expected to arrive is by 19th Nov.

                • @nepaus: Just checked … DHL has picked it already from China … hope it will be delivered in a 2,3 days … 10days isn't bad than.

          • +2

            @ChipsChicky: jumps off cliff

        • +1

The 4800U model was up earlier today on education store but I was trying to wait for a stackable code for FF. Now it's a gone. :'(

      • The CashRewards special that's got me tempted is: ThinkPad Gen 2 AMD E14 just $1077 shipped + 9% Cashback?

Add a new backpack and accessory to bump it to $1200.

Get $108 back from 9% cashback
        Get $180 back from AMEX.

        $912 for:
        Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 4700U (8C / 8T, 2.0 / 4.1GHz, 4MB L2 / 8MB L3)
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64
        Display Type: 14" FHD (1920x1080) WVA 250nits Anti-glare
        Memory: 8GB Soldered DDR4-3200 + 8GB SO-DIMM DDR4-3200
Hard Drive: 512GB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe NVMe
        Warranty: 1 Year On-site
        AC Adapter: 65W USB-C
        Graphics: Integrated AMD Radeon Graphics
        Battery: Integrated 45Wh
        Camera: 720p with ThinkShutter
        Fingerprint Reader: None
        Keyboard: Backlit, English
        Wireless: RTL8822CE 11ac, 2x2 + BT5.0

Not the worst deal in the world.

The biggest hurdle is I haven't been able to log into/use the cashrewards extension (on Edge nor Chrome) at all:

        • Getting cashback on this deal is unlikely.

          • @batrarobin: Managed to get a cached version of the Terms and Conditions. Only 3% cashback, making it $32.31 back on the laptop alone. Eh.

$987.69 if can get the total spend to $1200.

I continue to regret not pulling the trigger on the 4800U model.

            • @So lo: The coupon isn't listed on Cashrewards or shopback so unlikely that your cashback would be confirmed but no harm in trying.

              • +1

@batrarobin: Its listed as the top of my three Lenovo offers in the cashrewards extension. Also, there's a thread dedicated to it: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/579387

Regardless, I'm gonna tough it out and hope the 4800U comes back before the end of the AMEX cashback period.

                • @So lo: CR is not on gst …
                  CB on 1200 = (1200 * 0.9)*0.09 = $97.2

  • anyone know if you can stack these deals with cashrewards or shopback?

    • i don't think so … codes are not listed there, but if you have decided to buy, no harm in trying.
