Hopefully this is an indication the WFH price-jacking on printers is starting to ease. This model used to sell for under $200.

    • Supply and demand, my friend :)

      • I bought this exact model for slightly more than this price 2 years ago. Wow, to think they would at least be cheaper when on discount

        • Usually prices of IT equipments depreciate but now covid, WFH etc. Four months ago I couldn't even find a monitor to buy, now monitor deals are pop out like mushrooms.
Week ago office work had plenty of stock for $298, now out of stock. I bet in six month time I could buy this for $199 lol

I've got an eariler model of this 2703DW. Super cheap to run. It does only PRINT duplex. scan and copy is only single sided still I believe. That's why I keep my MFC-8860DN around. Darn thing wont die, even if the win 10 windows software wont talk to that dinosaur. Talks great to these newer ones though.

    • You think your printer is a dinosaur. We have an ex-enterprise HP LaserJet 4000n from 1997 at home. It can't do auto duplex, but still works fine.

Yours will still be going in 20 years too. That was a stand out model for HP.

    • Have a Lexmark x364dn that needs to be replaced only because there are no drivers or support in Big Sur. Otherwise that thing keeps going. Small office laser printers and MFC, and higher grade ones, are powerhouses. They are a bigger initial outlay but they keep going!

    • Actually I see this unit does duplex scan as well. Hmmmm when my dino dies I will sell my newer one and get one of these.

    • I've also got an 8860DN, how do you scan via the network now that Win10 drivers don't work for scanning?

  • I am after the color laser printer/scanner? Which model is best in terms of price range $500-600?

I have the Brother MFC-3770CDW, which is currently around the $500 mark.

It's great, but keep in mind it is signficantly bigger than the B&W model listed here (which I owned previous to the MFC-3770CDW)

    Store name in title please?

  • Bought these for my folks. Duplex scan and print. Wifi print.

Get cheap knock off toner off ebay. Cheap.

    • Just remember to not update the printer.

      • ?

        • Sometimes printer updates will block third party toner cartridges, as they rise in popularity.

@b-radicool: We thought there was something you know that was specific to this model printer.

    Shipping is $20.95

    • Have you purchased from this company before? how is warranty like?
I can see its $279 at scorptec and I think you can pick up
      https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/printers/laser-mono-mult…

      • No, and no idea.

But Warranty for Brother products is normally handled back to base, and it's much quicker dealing with Brother directly rather than the retailer.

If you need it, just call Bother and they will put you through to the local state office to give you a local address to send it to.
