Assassin's Creed Odyssey is now at it's lowest price recorded on Steam (according to SteamDB), at $22.48 for the Standard Edition.

Haven't personally played too much of the AC series, played the first one and enjoyed it quite a bit. DLCs for the game are also on sale on Steam.

Edit: Same price on Epic if you want to get it there instead of on Steam.

    Is this game any good?

    • Ratings seem pretty good, haven't personally played it. If you're a fan of the series, I guess you might enjoy it.

Personally loved it. Didn't enjoy Valhalla as much, or maybe I haven't given it the time yet.

    • This and the Egyptian one are great. I personally like being the captain of the Trireme and wiping out enemy boats. Stories are good with a poignant moments and a few nice comedy moments too. And the Spartan kick is brilliant, so much fun. YouTube is full of kicking videos. https://youtu.be/vu1VV7OOrCY

    • I've become quite a fan of the series and enjoy Greek history (and mythology), so Odyssey was easily one of my personal favourites. Other renditions like Valhalla felt fun at first, but quickly just became a chore to complete.

The story was quite good and combat was always interesting (I spent much of my time tackling full camps along with 2 or more bumbling mercs with the wanted/bounty system). As with any other AC game, there's a lot to do and see, and if you have a good time with it, I recommend picking up the DLCs when they're at a good price too. Enjoy :)

Good to know, thanks. The DLCs are also on sale on Steam, though they're still pretty pricey on their own.

    • It's $149. lol

You must have missed the word "previously". For someone not in a rush they could save a bit if they want the DLCs.

    Origins is 80% off too

Good game. I've put in about 100 hours and have gotten through the mail story line but haven't even explored the whole map yet. If you're into greek mythology, you will like this.

But this is such a radical departure from what assassin's creed is meant to be.

Mail story line? Are you sure you're not playing Death Stranding?

    • I got exhausted after like 40 hours. But great game, will jump back in a few months and it will hopefully feel fresh again!

  • Just as an FYI: according to isthereanydeal, it has gone for lower previously ($17.23 base, $27.47 gold, $28.46 ultimate) and is currently /slightly/ cheaper on Fanatical (77% vs. 75%) than Steam/Epic/Uplay.

    • I think the best deal was Gold Edition on Epic for $~23 after applying a coupon.

  • Ancient Greece in this game is built beautifully
