Free T-Shirt on Signup (Company Email Required) @ Veeam

2017

Just saw this on instagram that there was a free tshirt upon signing up for the AWS RE:INVENT 2022 event. I think they have this on every year but no idea. Also apologies for the formatting - I’m on the phone rn

Edit: requires a business email but not sure if you can use a personal one with those extra case and symbols to bypass

Edit 2: oooh controversial yay. It might be best that no one signs up. I think they ran out of stock and forgot to tell everyone. Sorry to everyone that signed up!

Were you actually a business customer that their product related to? They always ship

      • Yep. We even use Veeam. Never got one.

    • +1

      Agreed.

  • +3

Still waiting from last time 😂

  • Yes.. Never ship.. You've to be with them actively interacting to be eligible. Because I was passive, got cancelled, then I otp out their email.
Their emails are related to data, software, developer related

Free Veeam backup software is OK but it did take me a few tries to get it to work how I want, which is backup a few days before Patch Tuesday). Backup when designated target USB inserted solved the problem (configured as 'M'). My use is a full metal backup on before Windows has a chance to screw things up, as happened in September when Bitlocker locked up the device making factory reset the only option (supposed to not be enabled on Home edition). It seems to make incremental backups after the initial backup and that starts to push the limits of my 256Gb drive in a few months. I format drive M occasionally so it gets a fresh start. Before doing that, I have a second USB on which backup is run manually.

    • This is too technical for us. We need free t-shirts only :P

      • +1

You said they never ship the shirts. Using the backup may not be as simple as pulling on a t-shirt but there was no problem downloading the software:)

    • Same here - just tried again see if they come good.

    • I did got a mail when tried second time that it's for new customers only.

    Never received anything but spam.

I signed up last time, didn't receive t shirt. It is a scam.

  • Yep never receive any veam stuff

  • +1

    Yeah they never ship

  • Order was cancelled. Never got my Tshirt even though I provided accurate and valid details. I am a business customer and their product is valid.

  • Took my deets, never got anything from them as they said that my details were 'invalid'.

Full name, company name, and business email are required. I left out the company name, hence never received anything.

Let me try again, see what happens.

  • Agree with everyone who's said they never received anything (other than emails).

  • Junk mail folder all day

Got the shirt and other freebies the last time.

  • +1

I signed up twice and received both times…

  • +1

Signed up multiple times and no shirt,
They might send 1% but the rest is a data harvest

  • Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately, your redemption does not fit our specified criteria, and we have canceled your order.

We review all orders as they are placed. Full name, company name, and business email are required. The order is canceled if any information is missing or a personal email address was used to place the original order. Please refer to the attached FAQ.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

    Got the above last time.

    • +1

Yeah I got something similar on my official email address. The email address was not like a personal business address. It was an actual corporate email address.

  • Have never received any of these, even though I am eligible.

  • +2

I know this is unpopular and will probably get negged for no reason, but I have to say I've always recveived all freebies including remote control cars, bags of (admittedly crappy) merchandise, t-shirts etc.

I have not interacted with them or anything except maybe attended one virtual showroom to see what Veeam was all about.

I do not know what makes me or my company different but saying they never ship and it's all a scam simply is not true.

They never ship maybe to a lot of people (most people???) I'll accept but never is simply not true I receive stuff off them every time I sign up or whatever.

    Take it how you will.

As above, you are the 1%
Doesn't make it not a scam for the other 99%

  • Never got anything promised except spams.

  • Scam

I register yesterday with my company email address and received email today from Veeam to Claim T-Shirt. So definitely not scam. Thanks OP.

Delivery time is 8-10 weeks if your delivery address is outside the Americas so hope I will receive it.

  • this is the biggest scam of all time, I have signed up for this long ago never received the t-shirt.
