Is it safe to use a third party charger with a Pixel 7 Pro? I am thinking about the long term battery life of the phone.
It would be fine as long as it is from a reputable brand. I don't know much about Cygnett, but it would probably be fine.
I wonder if there is any data on that?
I normally charge overnight and almost never need a top up. I just use an old 10w charger each night and only use the fast charger if i need to charge the phone quickly for some reason.
In case you were not aware, charging overnight is not great for the life of your battery. I always used to do this, believing that it was a good way to maximize battery life. I later read that this is not the case, and regular top-ups are better :

I know in theory a cell doesn't like to be at max what a phone calls 100% isn't necessarily the maximum charge of the cell. Really depends on how the manufacturer sets it up. Realistically on a slow charger it isn't even at 100% for that long by the time you wake up.
You link does say though that temperature is " In fact, it’s arguably the biggest killer of long-term battery health." Using a fast charger to top up is going to put far more heat into it.
Either way would be interesting to see some actual data from real phones charged via different methods and compared.
@Duff5000: Yes, I'd love to know too. I used to always charge my previous phone (LG V30) overnight and the battery life had significantly deteriorated after two years. I got it replaced at an LG service centre and the replacement didn't last long either.
I've since switched my regime to try to remove phone from the charger at around 80% and avoid letting it drop under 20%. Obviously this is not always practical though. So far the battery seems to have stayed more healthy, although I'm not comparing like for like (Samsung vs LG).
It's an interesting point you make about the 100% level not being the maximum charge of the cell. If it stops charging at this point, it would make sense from a longevity perspective. What charger did you use? My poco came with a 33w charger. I only use that if i need to top up the phone.
Overnight i use a 1 or 2 amp charger (cant recall which but that's either 5w or 10w). Phone doesn't get hot charging and probably takes most of the time i'm sleeping to charge.
I suspect using the fast chargers that often come with phones are great for charging speed, not great for battery longevity.

Target Customer Service is pathetic.
No $10 gift card in my account (email received on 6/12/2022).
Tried calling them. 5 people - 5 different suggestions.
But nothing helped.
Should I waste my time on a $10 voucher ? No.

I won't purchase anything from them in the future either.I can't believe how many people (myself included) didn't receive the $10 reward voucher. It shouldn't be that difficult to chase it up but they make it hard for you. Considering the number of people affected that would be contacting them, they should realise that there is a problem by now and fix it. Like you, I contacted Target and was quickly palmed off. I then contacted Onepass and was told it would have to be dealt with by Target!
Onepass were a little more helpful though. If you want your voucher, send Onepass an email with screenshots of your empty rewards section when logged in to your Target account and ask Onepass to chase it up with Target. It might take a few days but eventually you should receive a PDF email from Target with your voucher (fingers crossed). Hope this helps!
I had to ring OnePass hotline and they sorted it out.
They said Target usually replies in 1 business day and they did.

Yes. Seriously, cheap ones can potentially (not certainly) logorate your batteries quicker. It happens on my iPhone, luckily was on warranty and got the battery replaced
I literally got these to replace Heymix chargers I decided to bin after reading horror stories on here. In the end it comes down to your risk tolerance and means.

Generally measured in wattage. Just look at your current charger, Amps (A) x Voltage (V) for output. The on posted by OP is 30W.
Not sure about iphones but for samsungs, they used to include 15W fast chargers, then 25W super fast before not including them anymore.
