One that has 4 wheels and 7 seats
Recently found out that Honda released a Hybrid Odyssey in Japan that can be imported into Australia
And it's import from Guangzhou Honda China.
Id rethink the PHEV unless you're aware of the resale implications.

There is still a large demand in the second hand market for used PHEV's I think what wrecked the idea of PHEV was government fleet buying where the management of the vehicles is lacking.
A PHEV suits me as I do about 40km of commuting a day, can charge overnight and almost never need to use the ICE - fleet vehicles are driven with little care or planning, foot to the floor most of the time to accelerate fast and not managing the expectation of the vehicle so it ends up being little greener or more economical than an equivalent ICE.

Go to carsales website. Filter for your options, price, seats. Then come back here with a shortlist of a few you’d consider. Contact a couple of dealers and ask about wait times.
Any more than 4 options for a forum will give you meaningless results. There’s no way we’ll guess you’re irrational reasons for not choosing a particular brand or model. You might be a Euro fanboy or equally a euro hater. Could be keen on a Haval because cheap or a Chinese product hater. Could be the most popular option ozbargain suggests you just don’t like the tail lights on and will never buy one.

Pretty happy with it so far but haven't used the 7 seats yet.

I get it, and you're absolutely correct that 7 seater SUV's 3rd row is cramped, but it's not as bad as reviewers let on.
At least not in my limited experience.We have a Sorento and while the 3rd row seats are cramped compared to normal seats, even at my 183cm height I fit perfectly comfortably back there.
Knees sit high, but they're not around my ears and otherwise I'm sitting perfectly normally.
It wouldn't be a great experience on an interstate drive, but it would be doable in a pinch (who seriously is cross country driving with no luggage though?) and for city drives 30 mins or less its fine.One thing I noted when looking around was that so many vehicles did not have air to even the second row! (Outlander was one of those)
Unacceptable in Australian Summers IMHO.

agreed, also have a Sorento and its 3rd row is fine for even an adult for some short city trips (though definitely less smooth ride back there)
Outlander though is about a half class smaller and doesnt have the same rear space.
Palisade is a half/full class bigger and has more rear space.main point was, asking for 7 seats and not defining the 'requirement' of those 7 is kind of pointless considering the vehicle size range which '7 seats' specification can span

I don't think I even looked at back seats of Outlander as it was off my shortlist as soon as I saw it had no 2nd row air vents.

if its at home, with home mains supply limits, its not going to be what most EV owners would consider a "fast" charger@SBOB: Wife doesn’t do a lot of driving. It charges 50km/hr so fully charged overnight for next day.
I can otherwise go to destination/super charger and go from 0-90% in around 15-20 mins.

If you want even more space, Kia carnival is great, but wait time is long.

Suggested Mazda CX-9Depending on what you're looking for in the 7-seater.
Pros on the CX-9:
- Car seat tether anchor points on all 5 rear seats
- Drives like a smaller sedan - handling is good, 2.5L turbo makes up for the larger size (IMO)
- Overall nice design and good design/manufacture - have had very few issues with ours
Wait for the new cx-90 inline 6.
If you want real 7-seater, go with Kia Carnival or Honda Odyssey
If only want 5+2, go with Outlander, they now have 10 year warranty and 10 years capped price servicing
