Shame it wasn’t bonus 15% on Coles gift cards at Myer

    • +3

That is never going to happen.

    • +2

Or bonus 15% on Coles Myer Giftcard would be good too…

      • +2

There would be a stampede if it was 15% of CM gift cards.

  • +1

    Woolies consistently offers 5% less.

  • They used to allow CBA points to GC, but I have heard many times they don't allow GC to GC.

  • Can these be redeemed using flybuy dollars?

    • +3

Last time I attempted to use Flybuys Dollars to pay for a (different) third-party gift card at Coles, I got an Invalid Product Mix error as soon as I swiped the Flybuys card on the EFTPOS terminal (and Flybuys Dollars have been blocked as a payment method for gift cards at Coles for a quite a while now).

Feel free to give it a go yourself, because you never know when Coles stuffs up an update to their POS systems and accidentally allows this again. However, I would be surprised if it worked.

      Having said that:

      • If you have a Coles Financial Services product (e.g. Coles car insurance policy, Coles credit card) tied to your Flybuys account and you have at least 2000 Flybuys points on that Flybuys account, you should see a prompt on the checkout screen asking whether you want to redeem 2000 Flybuys points for an instant $10 discount. This prompt should appear when you are purchasing a third-party gift card.

      • There is currently a trial going on where if you are making a purchase at a Coles in selected parts of Australia and you have at least 2000 Flybyus points on your Flybuys account, the checkout will ask whether you want to redeem 2000 Flybuys points for a $10 discount. I have no idea whether this prompt appears when you are looking to purchase a third-party gift card, because I have not had an opportunity to test this out myself.

      • I have seen something along the lines of invalid product mix error during checkout when trying to partially pay for Coles mobile prepaid using digital Coles gift card.

But paying in full is allowed, possibly an oversight.

  • Can I use Myer Gift Card to buy Apple GC in Myer?

    • -1

Do Myer even sell Apple gift cards any more considering they haven't sold Apple in years?

  • +2
    • Except this 15% bonus is limited to $200 denomination.
Coles offer includes all values and they sell $50 and $100 cards as well

  • I just saw 15% upload on Myer on giftcards.com.au…..does that seem correct?

    • +1

Yes. 15% bonus value on $200 Myer Gift Card
      Not the other denominations though

  • Thank you

  • can this switch to coles myer card in store? long long time ago I recall did once.

    • +2

Most likely not. The Myer staff are well trained and will not allow it even through the POS system will. If you have an AMEX card you may have received an offer of a 10% discount for Myer purchases and you could purchase the Coles Myer GC. Of course not quite as good.

  • Does anyone know if Myer online allows mixed payment, eg. pay the remaining balance with credit card after using $115 gift card? Cheers.

    • +1

Yes, mixed payments on the Myer website are fine

  • I just visited my local Coles and this offer is not available.

However, you can get the offer at giftcards.com.au. I just did this.

    • Here's the ad in the Coles catalogue and would be available in store from 19/7/23 to 25/7/23

15% bonus value for Myer gift cards $50, $100 & $200 (Online offer is for $200 denomination only)

      • -2

Yep but I took the $200 cards to the register and when I scanned them, there was no record of a discount.

        • +2

Because it's not a discount. It's a 15% bonus. There should be $230 loaded on your $200 Myer gift card should you have proceeded with your purchase
