  • Awesome price I'm so tempted on this

  • +1

I ordered this on July 8, and it has still not shipped yet.
    YMMV

21days before shipped for my last kit

It is great price but I want a deal for MGEX Strike Freedom.

    • +2

Still a hot product so you won't be seeing discount on that for a while.

Alternatively, if you don't mind losing the led kit, checkout MG strike freedom full burst mode. Quite similar product, cheaper and an older kit which MGEX was based on.

      • Do you think the local Japan seller would sell it for about AUD150 in Japan? I am travelling to Japan in 2 months.

        • +2

For mgex? Hell no AUD$150 before TRX will be a normal price. But U sure U wanna carry big ass box that is taking 30% volumn of a normal 25kg luggage ? Just keep that in mind.

  • So tempted… already got 1 from Japan last time travelled

Btw found this Aile Strike $32, free delivery with Prime, Good or not…?

It's the 3rd gunpla released from the RG line, def decade old now.

Was selling for $15 to $25 back in early 2010s so this might not be a bad price due to inflation and xchang currency blah blah blah.

Grab it if you like, but I'll recommend to grab this kits with perfect back pack , translate below link into English and see the detail.

Otherwise you may end up an "incomplete" kit which personally ticks me off quite big.

Also, advance ms joint issue so be careful.

    • How much did you pay in Japan? when was it? I am travelling to Japan in 2 months.

I don't own one but from what I read most RG before RG unicorn tends to suffer from Early Real Grade Syndrome due to the infamous Advance MS joint issue (mentioned below by SeiraS). It meant some pieces being too loose, which can be annoying to pose your gunpla. I think the solution is pose it after assemble the kit and leave it.

      • Mind if I asking which city u r going to?

        • mainly Osaka and 4 days in Tokyo

          • +2

@MaOptAus: Not much I can say bout Osaka but you can def grab a few local rrp gunplas from Tokyo.

Akihabara Bic Camera(on the east of main street not that new west of the street building), level 5 or 6 has a full level for model kits hobbies including a fair share of Gunplas. Don't forget to search the latest coupon to get further 5% off before tax. https://maps.app.goo.gl/vexHciqAxSDj7Ryv7

Another must cisit will be Gundam Base Tokyo, where that 1:1 Unicorn is located. On level 5 or 6 again, there is a Gunpla store called gundam base that is directed operated by Bandai. You can get quite a few Gundam Base. Exclusive release which you can't really get from the internet with RRP. Get a free membershicard as well as school litrle souvenir. If I were you, I'll spend a lot from this store to get those exclusive and ship back to AU via air through JP postal office.

Last but not least, reserve an afternoon to Nakano Broadway which has heaps of 2nd hand figures which you may find things you like.

There are a few more point of interest related to ACG culture you may like, I put up a google map list which you may find helpful.

            • @SeiraS: Thanks for your detailed information! I will definitely add them into my itinerary.

              • @MaOptAus: NWS m8, enjoy your trip an d welcome to Gunpla hobby.

      • Not far better than this price, it must be more than 4000 yen.
And i found it in surugaya, preowned unopened.
(*2nd hand shop, that have different items in different shops, what you can see is simply by luck)
Coz most of the normal shops have the whole range of RG sold out.
The only RG i saw in normal shop is the Hi-nu in amiami Akihabara that time.

Checkout this discussion, a few threads talked about that infamous Advance MS joint issue, not the end of the world but definately be careful when you assembling the "skeleton" of this gunpla, don't wanna new entries get scared away due to the broken joints during assembling.
