        Caller ID can't be trust these days.
        I once received a scam call which has the exact identical number as the one I was using.
        Also received calls from my number +/-1
        (i.e. 0412 345 677, 0412 345 679)
        Not sure how they do it.

          It's just a number spoofing app connected to a VoIP client. It uses the target/dialled number and uses that or +/- 1 digit as you mentioned.
