Great price. Make sure before you buy it you actually plan to use it. I fell into the trap of buying a few lenses with my camera that I thought I'd need. Now I have a lumix 25mm and 45mm that I used once and realised I'm doing nothing with anymore. Need to offload at some stage when I become less lazy.

I just got this as a package deal when I bought the S5ii. Yet to arrive though. I think if you calculate it individually with the S5ii Kit deal, the price I paid for the 50mm would be around $490.

Re buying lenses, I agree completely with vlahka. It is easy to get excited and purchase all the lenses. If you are just starting out in photography, just get one lens the kit of 18-55 (APSC) or 24-70 (Full Frame) is fine, and then take it around for a month or two. Then identify the focal length you shoot the most and get a prime lens that suits. Invest first in your learning as a photographer and then go for gear. Happy snapping :-)

    • I would add a cheap 50mm prime lens for portraits and similar and then you are all set for at least 2..3 years.
