This doesn't include installation, so technically idk about this claim.
I wonder what kind of "installation" they would include for free. IMHO, TheFrame wallmount is too different from normal VESA, because it isn't very wide, so you need support timber in the wall (or over the wall). Manual clearly states it can't be attached to the drywall alone and I doubt those free "professional installers" would cut the wall, install the timber between studs as required and hide the cable in the wall.
Good intel. So normal Bunnings wall mount won’t do the job for these tvs?
@corgicorgi: It can be used, but isn't ideal. Normal wallmount will put the TV at least 3cm from the wall even if it is marketed as "slim".
TheFrame comes with their own low-profile brackets in the box, which fit into cut-outs in the TV and literaly hang it on the wall. I just screwed the bracket straight into the studs like any other TV. No idea what old mate is saying about drywall. For one its plasterboard and no one would ever mount a TV off plasterboard. Wall mounts are based on TV size (in inches) and weight. Samsung Frame TV's are lighter than others because their power unit is separate to the TV (hence how they make them so skinny). You will need to keep in mind the power unit will need to be mounted somewhere near by on/in the wall or you can hide them in the roof.
So you can use any mount as long as it covers the size / weight of the TV (which with these TV's most will easy cover the weight).
It comes with 2 separate wall mounts. One for each side. The right hand mount I managed to attach to a stud. The left hand side is only attached to the plasterboard with special anchors. Was worried at first but it’s been up for almost a year without issues.
@Not a Toomah: I am certain that new plasterboard will be fine, but over the time drywall deteriorates (mostly due to humidity and house frame movements) and may fail, especially if someone has 75-85 inch which are really heavy. Oficially this method is not recommended and I wouldn't let any "professional" do it that way unless they give me written waranty that the method will last lifetime.
I solved this dillema by putting large piece of 12mm thick marine plywood behind the panel, which covers both brackets and spreads the weight to nearest studs. Then I attached the plywood to multiple studs through the wall and attached brackets to the plywood (and studs where possible). This has put my TV slightly further from the wall, but it is still only 1.5cm so it doesn't look too bad and I am certain it won't fail.
Can we Install Frame TV on normal wall mount (from Bunning) if already installed?
Unlikely. The Frame comes with its own mounting solution that involves 2 brackets that hook to the mount close on the wall
Yes you can if your existing wallmount has correct VESA size (TheFrame uses 400x400 for 75 and 85 inch, 400x300 for 65 inch and 200x200 for 55, 50 and 43 inch), but it will not look the best (the panel will be quite far from the wall and will not look like a painting hanging on the wall). TheFrame comes included with their own proprietary wall mount
