Replaced my ring door bell with this eufy door bell, very worth it. No subscription payments each month, video quality great and the alerts are great. Highly recommend spending the extra $ upfront to avoid the monthly subscription fees for ring. This doorbell does everything ring does.

    • does it store the footage on a microsd card?

      also how is the detection?

      • I have a home base which stores everything. I have a eufy doorbell and eufy cameras and the home base stores everything. The homebase I bought came with a SD card.

        • so what happens if you don't have the home base and just buy this on it's own?

also how good is the detection?

    • Agree with above. Also have a Eufy doorbell and it's great. Paying a subscription is ridiculous.

In response to above about the detection, it's great (pretty much instant alerts via the app) and it hasn't missed anything - I know as I've also got CCTV at the front door with motion detection.

Agree, no false alerts ever and has captured everything. The battery is great to, I live in a townhouse complex so it bugs up a good 20 events a day and the battery is still going after 3 months. A great door bell camera

        • Thanks! How fast do the notifications arrive when an motion/doorbell press event occurs?

@sam is here: Within 3 seconds. I’ve had no issues with delays. The app is great someone rings the door bell and I get an alert the doorbell is ringing. And if you have a homebase the homebase does the chime to

            • @Iwantthebestprice: Thanks @Iwantthebestprice. That's great! That sounds almost perfect to replace my aging ring doorbell 2 (and it's dreaded subscriptions!).

Just hesitating a bit as it doesn't have a proper google/Alexa integration (and zero smart things integration). I currently use my ring doorbell as a trigger for turning on my smart lights, which I can't do with this Eufy..

            • @Iwantthebestprice: I don't think the homebase will chime. You need a eufy Security doorbell chime or an Amazon Alexa Echo Show device.

@Cruiser: The homebase 2 chimes. I don’t know about the original homebase but the homebase 2 definitely does.

                • @Iwantthebestprice: I can't find any info to confirm this or any settings on the App for the homebase 2.

                  • @Cruiser: I have a homebase 2. It chimes.

                    • @Looty: Got a homebase 2 as well….it also chimes.

Surely they all do. It would be a pretty useless doorbell if it was connected to only one mobile phone and that phone wasn't there in the house when other people might be there.

                  • @Cruiser: I didn’t need to do anything to set it up or change settings. I just paired the door bell to the homebase and that’s it.

Another eufy door bell owner first one and this dual cam. Both have been great. Charge battery twice a year.
    Very happy with it.
    Homebase stores recordings locally.

  • Have these gotten any better with 2 way audio?

I used to have the singe camera eufy doorbell attached to a homebase only 3m away. While the image quality and notifications were excellent, trying to talk to anyone via the audio was impossible with large delays and not so great quality audio.

I replaced it with an Aqara G4 and while image quality isn’t as good as the eufy it is very easy to have a conversation with someone via the intercom and is also HomeKit compatible so you get free iCloud HomeKit secure video as a result.

I experience about 1 second delay in audio.
I have connected this on battery, not sure if that makes any difference.

there's one that requires homebase.. is there any reason to get the "add on" vs the solo (linked above)? It seems the E340 has local storage but can also be used with homebase? Seems like the E340 has a lot more to offer… am I reading it wrong anywhere?

  • Looking for the one with homebase to be on sale again
