  • Our dogs love these. Great training treats for inside or winter. They get melty if you take them on a walk in summer.

I didn't cotton on to the BLACK"DOG" part.

I was so excited to incorporate a yoghurt 'drop' into my diet.

    Woof.

Everybody deserves a treat now and then, especially good dogs. But, just like kids, dogs shouldn't eat too much fat or sugar. These dog lollies contain both, with very little protein and no fibre. But they have a substantial 30% fat.

Ingredients: YOGHURT POWDER, MILK SOLIDS, VEGETABLE FAT, SUGAR, SOY LECITHIN, FOOD ACID (330).
Typical Analysis: PROTEIN 3.6%, FAT 29.6%, FIBRE 0%, SALT <1%

Use sparingly, or use a high protein snack like jerky-style dehydrated meats instead, which are much more biologically appropriate and your dog would probably prefer. Blackdog make those too!

  • Does anyone know if we could just use these for children? My children love yoghurt drops, but they’re like $5 per 100g at Coles.

I appreciate this is marketed towards pets, but I understand that generally it’s safe? I went to Coles once for bones for stocks, and the butcher there also directed me to the pet section.
