Should have gone to specsavers to read posting guidelines.

  • You forgot the .au

  • Once only use

    • It seemed to work again after I used an incognito browser but I didn't go all the way to confirmation.

      • Code works for me. I can get to the payment page.

I’m thinking UberlsCool means one use per account. That was my experience anyway.

    Cheaper on AliExpress

I know this is often commented as a joke but I actually never thought to look on AE for contact lenses, so thanks!

I assume prescriptions translate directly? (I guess I'll find out.)

      • +1

AFIK most contact lenses are made to standard sizes and strengths - the well known brand I buy are made in the same country no matter where I buy them from.

        • Thanks!

          • @yeahna: Just checked out AliExpress.
I can see they sell a pair for approx $6-7. Doesn’t say whether these are daily, fortnightly or monthly. Can someone confirm?

      • I already order my glasses from China. I could try contact lenses too. Though I think my head shape is weird, I need the glasses on there to throw the viewer off.

ozbargainer would do eye test and get trial lenses for free

    • Does SpecSavers have trial lens for branded contacts like Acuvue and Dailies Total?

      • +1

Not sure, Bailey Nelson gave me Dailies Total

      • Specsavers gave me trials of their own brand which were uncomfortable. Went back and asked if I could get acuvue instead, they said I have to book in again to get fitted…. What. Waste of time

        • +1

well specsavers “own brand” is just repackaged coopervision if u actually look at it. If u feel the original parameters are uncomfortable of course u will need a refit lol

          • -1

@OzOzOzOzzzzz: It was the design/material itself.

Used acuvue my whole life but they didn’t want to hear it, clearly. Trying to push their own repackaged, wasting my time and now I have to have what I wanted initially to be “re-tested”

      • Yes I’ve received acuvue and dailies total one. Just say you have very sensitive dry eyes and specsavers generic brands are uncomfortable for your eyes.

    Worked for me, thanks OP

    Dailies Total 1 = $167 for 90

    @contactme.net.au = $99.50

Check your prices… I'll get 2 boxes (90) for $180 with a welcome discount. Stopped buying from Specsavers a while ago.

    • How did you get $167 for 90 pack total dailies? I see it as $128 with free shipping. But you're right, you dont assume bunnings, woolies, coles always has best price.

However ive got medibank $30 voucher, plus this code brings a single box down to $83 delivered.

      • +2

How did you manage to enter two codes?

      • Apologies, you are correct- it should be $128…I was looking at multi-focals. The cheapest I used to get @Specsavers was $50 off stacked with CR on over $199, but that was in 2020. Since then I haven't found cheaper than contact me, but I need to use a new email every time for the 10% off.

$83 is excellent for those that can get it.

    • paid $732 from Bupa for 12 months worth from there January deal

    • Agree with @bxpressiv. Specsavers is way overpriced now and I’ve also switched to contactme. Welcome discount of 10% for new customers.

  • I haven’t bought contact lenses since July. Prices seemed to have jumped significantly at Specsavers and other places. My contact lenses went to circa $46/box. They’re still ~$30-35/box on some sites.
