OPSM purchase and discounts?

We need to spend a few hundred at OPSM but not sure how to get discount. I am chasing ways to obtain discounted OPSM Gift Cards or any Other Gift Cards that allows spending at OPSM (in store).

Ozbargainers please help me out with your relevant knowledge.

Current discount in store is spend over $350 on frames and lenses ( complete pair) and you get $100 discount, if you buy a second pair, you also get 50% off( cheaper of the 2 pairs)
Opsm also offer discounts for certain health funds and nrma members.

    • I will see if I can combine this information with what WookieMonster has shared below for the maximum benefit. We have used the health fund threshold for the year so I will have to rely on other ways to save.

OPSM was added as a participating retailer to a number of Ultimate gift cards at the start of April:

    • Birthday
    • Celebrate
    • Everyone
    • Her
    • Him
    • Just For You
    • Students
    • Style/Shopping
    • Thank You

OPSM is an exchange-only retailer, so you will need to exchange the full or partial balance of your Ultimate gift card on the Ultimate gift card website for an OPSM gift card.

I suggest you keep an eye out for relevant Ultimate gift card deals, for example:

Have you checked other retailers for the glasses you’re after? OPSM is really expensive for frames

    • +1

Would agree with this, OPSM is super expensive especially if your going for just single vision lenses.

Highly would recommend 1001 or independent optometrists.

      • I will check the ones you have mentioned to see if they have what we are after.

    • I have compared them with a couple of other popular ones for our specific needs and there was no difference.

Get your Medicare sponsored eye tests at OPSM (or any storefront optometrist), and use the script to buy from an online seller like
      https://www.zennioptical.com/
Put in the effort to get the optimal frame size and shape for your head, and you can save a lot $$$ and potentially get a better result

      • Have tried all the online glasses places, and they're simply not as good as OPSM, unsurprisingly. But, if you're on a budget, they'll do.

  • Have you taken a look at this? There is a list of open offers for OPSM.

If you know someone with UniDays, they can get discounts at OPSM. Also if you are an auto club member, there are discounts too.
