I'm in the market for a Samsung Tab S9 and Bexcetech seem to have the best price around (I assume it's a grey market import but I could be wrong).
I'm wondering if anybody else has managed to get a price match from Officeworks or anybody else for the matter. Model seems to be the same SM-X710NZAAXSA.
Haven't done it yet. I'm trying to get my ducks in a row first. Becextech don't list the model on their website so I've reached out to them to confirm it. They also sell on Amazon and the model listed there is the same as Officeworks. Amazon price though is around $100 more than Becextechs own site.

I expect you'll receive flak for the post and response, but it does seem odd that you wouldn't just ask Officeworks directly.
I've asked them for previous price matches, some of which have been accepted and some not - it doesn't cost anything to ask. Is it a case that you're fearing rejection and/or are embarrassed to ask? Just ask and you'll get the answer straight away.
Poor Becextech though, doing extra work to list and/or gather information such that you can use it elsewhere.
I'm happy to ask Officeworks but I was just scouting out what other peoples experience was before doing so. I might end up using Amazon as the price match as they list the exact model. Since posting I've looked up Becextech and I knew they had a bad reputation but it's beyond bad.
Some price matches are up to staff discretion when it comes to possible grey/imported/stock. Just because one person got a price match somewhere doesn’t guarantee you can too…
I have successfully price-matched an iPad from Becextech at OW. In-store. This was about 3 years ago.

lol, checked the reviews already and decided that was a no go zone. Will try price match with Officeworks, failing that can get edu pricing from Samsung.
It really depends who you get at the counter and if other factors are involved.
E.g. 9am on a Monday morning with a manager at the register would be pretty difficult pass that pricematch…
But 5 mins before closing time during christmas eve with a high school aged holiday casual who have only been there for a week… yeh I reckon that'll pass.
I managed to get an expensive monitor from Officeworks worth ~1.7K for around 800AUD after price matching it to a second handed US site. The dude even helped me load it into my car.

I actually have tried price beating them to OW with the product you want lol and was unsuccessful, the worker was checking everything, even called two other workers to check on their own phones to see if it was legit. The original person I was talking to then decided to call head office to see if it was legit and came back and finally came to a conclusion saying no.
This took 40mins. For reference this was Office works in Epping VIC.

Good luck mate. For reference if it matters, this was 7.45pm on a Thursday evening with about 7 customers in store at the same time.
They knocked it back at the Officeworks I went to today based on the different warranty terms, Officeworks 2 years and Becextech 1 year. I'll try a different Officeworks tomorrow.

Officeworks priced matched becextech in Canberra a few days ago on a Google Pixel 8. Friend had no problems after JB refused to price match them.
Wasn't it a big thing when Officeworks announced that they'd price beat grey imports? Has that disappeared again
