Chromebook Purchase and KVM? Setup Help

Hey all
I have a legion gaming laptop which I bought to replace my gaming desktop 18months ago but life happens and didn't get much gaming done. Being a Legion it's heavy so not ideal for portable worm stuff and moving around.

I want to buy a chromebook for work. Personal purchase but intend to use for work purposes only. We use Google domain, suite etc at work so cloud based apps etc

I got no idea what I am looking at. Any tips?

Second issue I want to get a cheap monitor (24 or 27 inch)or 2 so I can have 2 windows up for some spreadsheets, dashboards etc. Might try and hookup the Legion to one or both monitors too just incase I get time for some gaming.
My google search says I need a KVM however I look at Amazon and seems I can get 1 for sub 100bucks but JB, pc shops are over 200bucks. Any recommendations?

    You can get monitors with KVM switch built in. Maybe go that route seeing as you're going to buy a new monitor anyways.

    Probably any new Chromebook will be suitable for your purposes: HP, Lenovo, ASUS… If you are doing heavy-duty spreadsheets then go for a higher-end one, but otherwise a bog-standard should be fine.

    Likewise, any modern new monitor will be able to switch between alternate inputs: HDMI, DVI, DP, etc.

    A KVM is really so 1980's and not really needed with laptops and modern monitors. (You're talking casual and occasional gaming. Not really a big effort then to plug in a keyboard and a mouse for those times.)
