Boost Mobile (Telstra) Is Experiencing Outage to System Network (Porting out) ?

I tried to port out from Boost to Amaysim last Friday night. Up to now (Tuesday), my number still hasn't transferred. I received the following email:

We are sending this to inform you that we're still unable progress any port/transfer request today, as the carrier network of Boost Mobile (Telstra) is experiencing outage to system network (Porting out). As it all affects the porting numbers and has not provided any time frame for the fix of the outage, but rest assured that they are fixing this as quickly as possible.

We'll be sending you an email notification once the issue is fix the outage, and when we've able to progress the port/transfer request to Amaysim. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

Is this legit or BS? Anybody here ported out from Boost/Telstra recently?

    I have the same issue last week porting out from Boost to TPG. I don't know whether it is fixed now or not.

    there was an issue that was affecting port outs that was fixed yesterday

    • So that means there is a huge backlog that still needs to be processed?

  • I put through a port out request from Boost on Sunday, processed on Monday morning (yesterday) which is normal and then back to Boost a couple of hours later.
    All went through smoothly.

  • Ported from Boost yesterday to Coles (Optus) and it worked within 10 mins. I guess I got lucky.

  • Given the typos, I'd say fake.
