Just read this: https://shping.com/privacy/ and conclusion is: avoid!

    I found more:

The goal for Shping Coin is to evolve into a new token of exchange that brands, retailers, certification bodies and associated authorities can use to incentivize shoppers to contribute, monitor and engage with information about their products. By empowering businesses and shoppers to make smarter and safer shopping choices, the team aim to make Shping Coin the most accessible cryptocurrency in the market.

  • So the cashback is in shpping coins?

How much does it cost to sell these?

    • If you cash out the $3 from just this one item straight away, you will end up with $3 AUD (or thereabouts) in your bank account

Not interested in buttcoins / crypto bros circlejerks

    • Nor am I, so I just cash them out as soon as I earn them. I've earnt almost $15 in a few weeks just from scanning receipts.

Come on, that's what all the idiots staking Celsius said…

What on earth are you going on about?

I don't pay anything to get the coins and immediately selling the coins upon receipt is the exact opposite of staking…

Not sure why the negs? I’m not really a fan of handing over data either. But this app has good bonus offers so you can get a free or heavily discounted product here and there. I selectively upload receipts and I got $10 in about two weeks and cashed out to my bank account. Payout was quick, no issues.

    • yeah I don't understand why people are personally offended by the use of blockchain technology. it's not something we really promote or talk about a lot, we've just found that it's a good way for us to run the rewards program but we know most people prefer cash so we offer cash out as well..

      • While the variability of the token price is somewhat of a risk, I much prefer a program that allows me to take ownership of earned credit into my own wallet, rather than tracking points inside a proprietary program's wallet. I use another receipt scanning app and I'm always nervous that by the time I've earned enough to cash out, they won't exist anymore or they won't honour their commitments. Or worse they'll play with my balance without me noticing. At least with shping tokens I can take full control of them outside of the app - that's a big plus for me.

        • awesome feedback!

      • Because Shping is a random cryptocurrency, that virtually no-one has heard of, isn't able to be used for anything other than speculating and which constantly fluctuates in value.

The only way to avoid your "cashback" fluctuating is by withdrawing it as soon as you earn it, but after a few weeks you're forced to pay a fee for each withdrawal (which is hidden and not quantified anywhere that I can see - though appears to be $1.50 on my account), making that completely unfeasible.

I feel bad criticising so much as I'm taking advantage of it, but I think the concept is just ridiculous.
