Relocating an Exetel nbn Service

Does anyone know if Exetel do service relocations and how much it costs?

Tried looking online but cannot find anything. Messaged them earlier in the week and have gotten no reply. And these guys say there's no publicly available info for Exetel relocations:

I'm on their 50/20 service at $69.95/mth… happy with the service reliability (especially since I WFH half the time) and the price is good given cost of living pressures atm so I'd like to keep to this monthly cost.

Thanks in advance.

  • I suggest calling them up on Monday, and asking them for all the info' you need. I've been with Exetel for years now, and they are the best internet provider I have ever experienced. I have had to call them up about 4 times in the last few years … 3 times due to things beyond their control, and once quite recently related to transition to 'to the house NBN' (which bizarrely, they came and did for free … and on all of those occasions I have been talking with a human within 10 minutes. This is way different to my previous experiences with about 5 other internet providers over the years prior to that (Optus, Dodo, Net-something-or-other, etc.).

    • Cheers bud!

Yeah, the folks over at WP said the same thing to call them up. I thought they may have at least been able to have the chat with me over email but I'll just find the time to give them a call. Our house isn't completed yet… and I'm definitely expecting to pay the new development costs but if I can stay on the current price point, I'd be quite happy with that.

      • When you login to the portal and choose order a new service does it give you the option to relocate an existing service from their.? You could always just order the new service under your existing account and then cancel the existing service when you have moved. Though i'd still talk to customer service to make sure you either don't get double billed or that you at least get credit for the unused time on your other account.
Depending on how the policy works each ISP has slightly varying policies on this stuff.

    • I suspect this was a free upgrade to Fibre which NBN Co does for free for eligible households and businesses the program is being made available to more and more areas as they get rid of FTTN and FTTC out of the technology mix.
