Maybe put this up as well. Just an option. Two dollars more but more stable if you are plugging more than 2 cables at the same time

Deal of the day: UGREEN 100W USB C Charger, Nexode 4 Ports Charging Station, Fast Laptop GaN II Charger Compatible with MacBook Pro, Dell XPS 15, iPhone 15 Pro Max, Galaxy S24 Ultra (PPS 45W), iPad, Steam Deck, Switch https://amzn.asia/d/ffg4uLg

Bought this last week, very happy with it.

Charging doesn't stop to negotiate power when two devices are connected.

      • @abs898
Wow thats amazing. Question. If you plug 4 cables on it, but on the other end only connect one device will it still give maximum wattage output? Of the adapter think there are 4 devices i need to share my powersl

      • I didn't realise the two were technically different beyond the AC input cord.

I've found my UGreen 100w wall plug (the one in this deal) has been great except randomly even when not plugging in anything new it will cut out for a second which causes my Asus laptop to keep changing between power modes and settings… starting to get annoying since it blanks the laptop screen and starts changing various settings thinking it's going from 100w charger to battery to a low speed charger and then back to 100w charging.

        • Sound like a melon get amazon to replace

          • @CyberMurning: Before replacing the charger, it might be prudent to test and see if the USB C cable is faulty.

            • @anonym: Tried it with two different USB C cables (Anker 100w cable & Choetech 100w cable). Also a possibility is it's an Asus issue.

      • Amazing! Didn't know such a PD multiport charger exists!

UGREEN 100W USB C Charger, Nexode 4 Ports Charging Station that’s about the same or very similar price.

Looks like UGREEN has a newer model of the older 65W version similar to this), more power and three USB-C ports - this one just has the extension lead rather than a plug straight into a wall socket.

It’s possible this should have a separate entry?

Apologies for confusing things, this may already be posted.

  • Does it reduce the life of the battery if we use these type of fast chargers?

    • +1

Fast charging generates heat, heat reduces the Li-ion battery life span. Thus try to keep the device/battery cool while fast charging.

    • oui. These a ideal for powering a USBC powered laptop, Nintendo Switch, or for occasional phone quick charge. Best to charge phone on 5V 1A normally. Same goes for your Tesla

    • +1

No, your phone or other device chooses the wattage it charges at, up to the maximum the charger can supply.

So if you plug a phone that charges at up to 20W into a 100W charger, it only charges at 20W.

A laptop that charges at 65W will use 65W from a 100W charger.

If you only have a 65W charger, but your laptop can charge at 100W, it will use the full 65W available.

Phones like many Samsungs can fast charge at 45W or higher. But they still control the exact charge rate and only hit the highest charge rate for a short time.

The limiting factor for maximum charge rate is battery design and heat. But the phone monitors the temperature and keeps the charge rate at a level where battery longevity isn't reduced much, if at all in normal use.

  • For faster charging, there is the UGREEN 200W USB C Charger, Nexode 6 Ports Charging Station, Laptop GaN II Charger, 100W+100W Fast Charger for $159.97.

Personally I'm not a fan of chargers that plug directly into the power socket, especially when they obscure other sockets.

Plus the grvity and 4 cables will pulls it down like a rock from wall

  • Out of curiousity, would this UGreen 100W charger worth it for iPhone 15 Pro Max ? I read somewhere that the max charging capacity for iPhone 15 Pro Max is 25W so I am not sure how 100W charger would benefit me. Any ideas ?

    • +1

Probably won't benefit you any more than most other chargers. This is more if you have a device which can charge at 100w like a Macbook Pro or an ultraportable gaming laptop.

  • I have a Lenovo Yoga with 100W charger. Can I use this to charge that laptop? Thinking to have a spare or just bring this for traveling as I'll be able to use it to charge other devices too. Thanks.

    • +1

Why not? As long both has same usb c port that can take power

      • Awesome … Just wanted to make sure that I won't damage my laptop's battery. The wattage here is the only important thing to match? I read somewhere that charging with a charger with lower than specified wattage will harm the battery (making it running hot or something).
