    I've tried the food there, it's pretty nice. Not sure if I'd go back though.

      Were the portions of good size? Would a 2 course fill you up?
      What I hate about these fine dines is that its more for the eyes than the empty stomach..

        I had steak tartare and a pie last time. As far as I can remember, it wasn't poncy like that. Didn't have room for dessert.

          Yeah we had entree and main (no sides) and we were full, no dessert either. Had the snails, scallops, pork belly and beef fillet.

          Maybe it's just me, but I work backwards from the dessert menu…

        That's almost never true, and the only people that really bleat that line are people who eat at Sizzler but once saw a photo of one plate out of a 12 course degustation.

        Usually, they back it up with a hilarious anecdote whereby they 'had to stop at maccas on the way home'.

    Claire's Kitchen is outstanding, and worth it at full price.

    50% off is a steal.

    Killer cocktails and a really reasonably priced wine list, too.

      You shouldn't need to as the restaurant will already know you have booked the Special when you arrive. They should just apply the the 50% off the food bill at the end. Occasionally they forget so worth having your booking reference on your phone or in a pocket just in case :-)
