UPDATE: Apparently the game is free on the 360 itself aswell. Might be a legit deal as part of E3.

Go to the Fable 3 listing on the Xbox Live Marketplace (Web version)
Click the "Download to Xbox 360" button.
It will show as $19.99. Do not buy.
Click "use Microsoft points"
It will be listed as free.
Confirm your purchase.

        Played number 3 on PC - it's decent but as my first fable game I'd played, i can still see how it doesn't beat the others (as other people say). Enjoyable, and at no cost, wouldn't harm you to have it.

    Horrible game. I loved the first two but this put a nail in my 360's coffin as I expected much better. Screw you Peter Molyneaux. Still, free is free.

        It's coming up at $49.95, but you can't choose 'pay with MSP' until you click on purchase beforehand. Still free, you just need to click on purchase before choosing to pay with MSP. Free game :)

      Can confirm, Works fine just got one with my Aussie gold account.

      follow the link in,log in to your gold account, click purchase , and change mode of payment to MSP then it shows the down load is free.

    For anyone on iiNet, bear in mind their free Xbox traffic / quota is munted atm, so the 5.6GB download will not be counted in the freezone.

      My son just now went to the Games in Xbox console, searched games for Fable 3, found it, it said Free Download. Clicked Download, got the Confirm Purchase, now downloading. He does already have Xbox live Gold.

    I don't know exactly what this is but I also found Fable 3 free soldier outfit add on. It's like nearly 800mb.. pretty hefty addon for a uniform ? i think ?

    Still a long way to go to match the value of content offered on PS+, but a good start. Now just need a free game or 2 not released almost 3 years ago and it will make gold almost worth it. :)

    That said, downloading it now as free is free (even though I doubt I'll get to playing it) and a big + to the OP.
