[Origin/360/PS3] Battlefield 3: Close Quarters DLC - Free

1540
FOR ORIGIN VERSION

In the Origin client use the coupon "BF3E3" in the Redeem product code section, not in the store.
ie; (ORIGIN>REDEEM PRODUCT CODE).

Please note, it is listed that you must own the game in order to redeem via Origin, however several users have reported you can redeem without it.

FOR Xbox 360 VERSION

You can now get it from the Xbox Marketplace website.
http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-AU/Product/Battlefield-3/66ac…

FOR PS3 VERSION

Try purchasing via the in-game store, for some reason it is not appearing on the online store so it may be offline for the moment.

It will be available from now until June 19 according to blog, though it also lists "OFFER EXPIRES JUNE 17, 2013", so do it as soon as possible.

      OP please correct.

      • Updated OP.

  • So just to clarify, when will this be available?
ie maybe you should list when "E3 Week" is?

(plus vote in anticipation of this being legit :))

      Updated OP.

  • Redeemed. Thanks.

  • Good work, thanks.

  • i sold my ps3 version of bf3 ages ago….

    Thanks for headsup OP.

  • Am I missing something? Can't see it in the PS3 in game store at all.

    • It appears to be down for the moment on the online store as well, most likely due to the price changing, but I am not sure.

  • Redeemed code via "Redeem product Code" on Origin.
    Thanks OP.

  • Thanks so much OP! That was one of the DLCs I wanted to buy on sale :)

  • Good deal. But just to point out CQ is crap.

    • +3

      but you get new weapons

It is my least favourite of the booster packs too, given the small maps and the deathmatch style random spawns. Some people like it. Anyway free is free.

  • Thanks. I also still have my copy of PS3 Limited Edition PS3. Also got for my PC base copy.

  • Every one must be downloading BF3 close quarters or re-downloading BF3 to play it. I'm only getting a paultry 233KB/s download speed off Origin.

    • -1

Surely you mean everyone must be sleeping if you are getting download speeds that high from origin.

      • +4

Generally speaking I get my connections peak download speed form Origin, they suck at a lot of things, but there download speeds, generally, is not one of them.

    • +1

I'm getting peak speeds at the moment..

      • 9.50 MB/s ?. What kind of connection are you on?.

        • +1

          100mbit :)

        • that's just not far, people I know within 15km of me can only get dial-up… I'm luckily on adsl2+ but seriously dial-up…

    • Mine just started downloading (which i stopped because my net is counted between 8am and 5pm) at 3.2mb/s…

      • Mine's currently going at about 230KB/s and at this rate BF3 will take about a day to download. Must be a problem with Dodo. Either that or your ISP's have cached the downloads.

        • mmm, I have a disk so a good part of it is coming off that….

  • Why am I getting Session time out message.Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Just redeemed the code, will download later. Thanks OP.

Has this been free before on XB360? It says I had already purchased and I'm too cheap to have paid for it.
Got it for PC too though so thanks OP.

    • +1

I think you're right. Went to add it to queue and already had it and pretty sure didn't pay for it.

      • Same here. Never paid for it but i have apparently already downloaded the only thing that says close combat in the extras section which is the close combat content update. can anyone tell me if this is it. Think im missing something obvious here.

  • Thanks emwearz :)

Just a note if anyone is interested but Battlefield 3 Premium is on special on PSN at the moment for $36.95. Special offer valid from 10-06-2013 to 19-06-2013. (WAS 73.95).

Im still waiting if PSN is gona put Close Quarters DLC back up :(

    Got it for PC. Thanks.

    • Me too, thanks OP

  • Claimed. Good find!

  • never mind

  • Thanks OP! Good find!

  • Must have been the QOS setting in my router as since i've disabled it the download speed off Origin has suddenly shot to 1.70MB/s. QOS and Origin downloads = bad

  • Good stuff, see you in the Battlefield!

  • Thanks got mine

  • Got it on Origin, Thanks OP.

  • Can't find close quarters on Xbox live webpage.
all I see is Close quarter content update :(

    • That's the one.

      C'mon you 'roos!

  • got it, cheers

  • Didn't seem to be up on the PSN when I looked; grumble!

    • +1

For PS3 you need to redeem this via the store from the BF3 in-game menu. Currently PlayStation Store does not show this expansion pack at all. The Download is 1.142GB. Thanks to the OP for the heads up on this offer.

      • CQ was available this morning from in-game Store. Had the tag FREE in the pricing area. Didn't have to redeem any code. Really, the gunpack is all that I wanted. No more poor man version of having to pickup other premium -s-u-c-k-e-rs- players

      • Sounds good; thanks mate will grab it tonight!
