Third Wave Cafe, Port Melbourne VIC - Free Half Rack of Ribs Worth $28

360

Third Wave Cafe in Port Melbourne, VIC.
1/189 Rouse St, Port Melbourne, VIC 3207.

They sent an email advertising their new menu. I can't find any terms and conditions in small print (or an expiry date so I've just put 2 weeks for the post), but I think it's valid from Thursdays to Saturdays, when their dinner menu is offered.

Pork ribs described as:
Tender juicy, melt-in-your-mouth ribs. Done in Southern tradition using dry spices only. Served with 3 different house made BBQ Sauces - Spicy Bourbon, Apple Bourbon and the henomenal iQ.

Enjoy.

    Nice.

We are extremely happy to offer you a free Half Rack of our amazing BBQ Ribs. Please print this email with the voucher and present when paying your bill. To make sure that we have enough Ribs for you, please mention the voucher when booking your table.

Interesting restaurant. American food, ribs, and a Russian menu.

I just hope that one is not given a "second grade" meal because I can't understand when an organisation says "please mention the voucher when booking your table…" surely they have sufficient stock for the night or am I misunderstanding something ?

Well, looking at their Facebook page, it seems they ran out on the 4th of July. From the post, it sounds like its happened before. They may need to estimate how many ribs they get? No idea.

Year ago, when Hard Rock was still around, 20 of us went on their ribs night. They couldn't cope with the amount of orders so it ended up being at times 30 minutes between bringing a plate of ribs to us. They were rushing to cook them as some of them required a knife to get the ribs of the bone.

If you can get in tonight, you can get free breakfast as well

minimum spend must be over $60 to qualify for free breakfast?? lol

I think it may be smart of them wanting to get a heads up of how many ribs. Stops disappointment on the night. Similar to Hogs Breath and their 18hour cooked steak, sometime you go there and they are sold out.

I'm always weary of this logic, as a business owner I would never spend money offering a free product to entice new customers and then give them garbage. Freebies are about earning repeat business.

  • Maybe they just hired an American cook…

  • How's the coffee?

    • Coffee selection is great, plenty of single origins. Coffee is 7.5/10 based on what I had. Machine is a synesso and blend available is five senses.

  • how do i know if i got the voucher ?

    • nvm. i got it. there seems to be a code generate with the voucher so it might be ozbargained soon !

  • This is great thanks OP! I am surprised there is no fine print to the voucher, can I just bring 4 friends, rock up and just eat the free ribs? Will go well for a dinner after the free AFL tix this sunday!

    • hope so !

    • Think you need 4 vouchers.

      • And separate tables.
Only one voucher per table :(

        • where does it say that?

        • In the voucher I got.

    • I think it's valid from Thursdays to Saturdays, when their dinner menu is offered.

  • This gets posted the day we decide we want to become vegans :(

  • Any idea when this expires?

Can't seem to find if it says this anywhere on the voucher or site?

  • There is a voucher on the website for 5 free coffees? I don't think this is still valid but it's there, can anyone confirm?
