I'm trying to secure one around the $600 mark.

Dick Smith the other day had a promotion where you got a free apple tv with any mac mini purchase; but I have no need for the apple tv and didn't want to mess around with selling it.

Has anyone had a better price?

With haswell now shipping, I imagine a new mac mini cannot be far off?

    Mac stock don't get cheaper over time. You may have luck getting old stock from retail outlets once new models are out, otherwise what you see, by in large, is what you get. Maybe if you are travelling overseas soon you get get gst back?

    I ended up scoring on the Dick Smith deal.

    For $629.10, got the new 2.5 I5 Mac Mini, with a bonus Apple TV.

    Hopefully I can sell the apple tv for ~90

    which would bring the price of the apple tv down to $520
