ORIGINAL POST
For some reason, Lenovo is offering a hefty $165 discount if you select the "Arctic Blue" display colour when configuring the E330. There are three base configurations on offer - this applies the the i3-3120M and i5-3230M models (the i3-3110M cannot be reconfigured).

After changing the screen to Arctic Blue, the standard coupons also apply. For the i3-3120M, you can use SEPWELC2013 coupon. For the i5-3230M, the E330DEAL coupon provides a slightly bigger discount on the base config, while SEPWELC2013 may be better if you add upgrades.

    • According to the quoted delivery details you should get them in time. I have not purchased from the Lenovo online store before, and some very quick/cursory searches didn't return useful info so would appreciate comments from previous buyers about their experience with delivery times/courier method, good/bad/reliable any issues/gotchas?

E330 Dispatched within 2-3 weeks, plus 5 bus. days delivery
E531 Dispatched within 1-2 weeks, plus 5 bus. days delivery

  • do u guys think its a price error?

    • dunno, I/we am/are just hoping they'll honour the orders.

    • well, if you add a screen upgrade and it takes $176 OFF the price instead of adding it……I say that's a price error! Still bought it, lets hope they deliver :)

  • what is the ThinkPad OneLink Dock ?

  • Ordered the i3 version of the E531 with the earbuds! Hopefully not a pricing error but wouldn't be surprised.

    • +3

Wouldn't be surprised either, that's dirt cheap

Not sure if I would be disappointed or relieved… Don't think I need 2 extra laptops on top of the 6 I already got at home :)

      • I'm aiming for a laptop in every room. Looks like you are already there :)

  • Was thinking of purchasing the E330 but after finding out about the E531 - more real estate and full keyboard sealed the deal. Make sure you add the $1 earbuds too!

  • +4

$426.60 for the E531 i5 FHD (with buds) is an amazing price. I bought it. I simply do not need it. It may well be my toilet FHD media computer.

    • +5

That's a good idea, why waste your time in the toilets and take the risk of missing a bargain… you could Skype at the same time…. I'd recommend buying a wall laptop arm as well

  • -3

Does it have HDMI on all of these ?

    • +1

Yes. It is in the 'Tech Specs' tab.

  • Thanks OP.Was looking to buy a laptop from long time. Looks like waiting paid off.Got E531 i5 FHD (with buds)for $426.60

  • +4

wow great price, got the E531 i3 with FHD for $336.. just over $300 after TRS!

thanks OP, won't even be upset if we get Kogan'd, good and healthy bargain-rush on a saturday morning!

    • +4

pretty sure we're all gonna get Kogan'd :)

  • I can't seem to find the $1 earbud to buy with my E330? Or is this offer only for E531's?

    • +1

not sure if you get it on e320s but you get it after you check-out under 'multimedia accessories.' you will see a prompt saying 'you can choose accessories after checking out'

  • I've been hanging out for a great laptop deal for ages.

Got the e531 i5, buds, $426.60, awesome price.

    Thanks op!

  • -3

Does it have HDMI on all of these ?

  • +1

Just a heads up the i5-3230M is a dual core, quad thread. It does have HD4000 graphics though so it still gets my vote. Also it supports VT-x so you can say hello to native 64 virtualization

    • i5 for notebooks/mobile are dual cores for desktop they are quad cores.

  • how does lenovo handle price errors? refund in full only? its just too good to be true

    • Yeah, I bought the E531 too, but don't really expect to actually receive it. Surely that FHD display bit at least was a pricing error and they'll just cancel everything.

      • +1

Ya, I think it meant to add $176 instead of subtract $176

    • +2

I bought a E320 2 years ago at $358, that may not be a price error.

  • +4

Ok guy, solved the mistery of i5 E531 $425 and $405. You have to select the laptop edge model to start with not through the search. The specs will be exactly the same just swap to fhd, add $1 earbud and apply the code then $405.90 will showed up in your cart. Paypal express worked for me though.

    • +4

Only 320g hard drive with $405 setup

      • Ah I see. Didn't notice that. $20 extra for more 180gb worth it? I don't know ordered and never care.

  • its not a payment to them, just an order.. similar to amazon/thehut.
they have not taken our money yet.

    • Yeah, the order confirmation makes it very clear they can cancel this order very easily. It will mean I've been Kogan'd yet again this week.

      • will be the same for me too :)

  • Bought the E531 i3 version :D now what to do with it if it actually gets processed….

  • +2

This has to be a price error, at least for the E531.

They are subtracting price rather than adding for choosing FHD over HD.

    • Yeah, that makes sense.

    • +18

ozbargainers do not know the meaning of "price error".

    • +9

Am I the only one here hoping they cancel my order so I am forced to save money?

      • Unlike Kogan, Lenovo is not going to give you an apology voucher with no min spend.

      • Yes same here haha.

  • getting another E531.. too good to be true with the FHD set up.

    • Just found this code on www.starthere.com.au for Lenovo, I am going to try this now.

      72HOURONLY

It says,Save up to 30% on laptops, desktops, workstations, servers and more!!

Edit - the Code didn't work for my order of 531.

      Thanks OP,

  • Is anyone getting the i7 E531? I'm having a good think and that looks like the one which I'll make the most use out of for work purposes (engineering modelling).

Looks like it's showing up as $691.55 for me.

    • You could also get the I5 and simply increase the Ram, that's what maxes out first imho in CAD modelling, and the graphics card.

  • can someone post link to e531 with i3.

    this link http://shopap.lenovo.com/au/en/laptops/thinkpad/edge-series/…

    only showing i5 and i7

  • Awesome deal, picked up both the 13 and 15 inch models, now what to do with them lol

    • Did you get 2 x $1 earbuds for both of them, or just one for the E531?

      • just one for the E531, the 13 inch one was $20 for the earbuds

        • Cool thanks. I was kicking myself for forgetting to add the $1 earbud for my E330 order lol…and I also bought one E330 and one E531 (for a relative).

  • +1

At least the $1 Noise canceling earbuds aren't a price error with the E531

  • +4

Grabbed the 531 with upgraded graphics (740M 2GB) and buds for $473 after you drop the screen down and add the code SEPWELC2013.

    • +1

how did you get the 740M i don't see any option for it??

      • +3

Nvidia N14P-GV2 is the code word for the 740M

        • oh dam thanks just ordered already -_-

    • .

    • I can't seem to get the 531 down to $473 with the graphics. I'm getting like $561

      EDIT: nevermind, got it

  • just ordered 2 x E531 @ $336.60 ea. inc earbuds, what are the odds of fulfillment?

  • thanks.

    odered e531 + $1 earbuds.

    total $336.60.

  • lol my final order confirmation page 404'd but order showing via "My Account" also credit card charged.

  • Their explanation of HD and FHD:

HD – Indicates 1366x768 maximum resolution display.

    HD+/FHD/Premium – Indicates 1600x900 maximum resolution display.

    What the hell?

    • WTH???????????????

I wanted the FHD 1920x1080. Where did you get that info?

      • +1

Select "Help me decide:" for Display.

        I wanted the FHD 1920x1080

I wanted it too, but decide to read first.

      • +1

Confirm with lenovo sales rep, it is FHD 1920x1080. :)

        • Confirm with lenovo sales rep, it is FHD 1920x1080. :)

          agreed, me too.

BTW, wouldn't it make sense to get the Lenovo OneLink Dock - seems useful?

  • +7

Please note: By talking with Live chat I have had them confirm 'that is the offer'

Will take a screen for anyone interested.

  • +3

Oh no … just bought one. (money from the Kogan deal is already back). Was in the market for some noise cancelling earphones … great they come with a laptop!
    Thanks OzBargain.

Paypal did not work for me (maybe they put the account on hold as there are too many transactions?) … haha

I opted for the smallest E531(+1$ earphones) as the discount is the highest.

    • i had same issue and thought ozbargained but check your paypal account mine showed up there.

  • Thanks OP. Ordered one for my parents. They will love it.

  • Thanks!! Bought one E531 at $426! Good that I waited…

  • +1

    E330 Base Model Sold Out

    • if you click the middle E330 for "$549", deal still comes at $346

  • +4

Hi Guys, I've order E531 for $405.90 a minute ago. How it works is that you need to select the i3 model, and upgrade CPU to i5, and upgrade screen from HD to FHD, and insert coupon, then the price will become $405.00. I also add $1 multimedia accessories.

You lose 180gb of hard drive space with that option.

$20 extra for more space is worthit.

      • +1

I will keep telling myself that too :'(

      • Hi Orin, the reason I did this is because I bought a SSD, and are ready to install it, instead of using HD. Therefore, I don't really care about HD size for me, I even wish there is an option for no HD and more discount for me…

    • Thanks mate.

    • +1

no need to upgrade to i5. it worked out to be $335.60 with an i3.

you just need to change display to FHD and apply coupon code SEPWELC2013 to get the discount.

    • +2

As noted above, the other difference between doing this and selecting the base model i5 is that the latter has a 500Gb drive (rather than 320Gb, as with the base i3 model).

    • thanks good option i'd want to change to an ssd anyway, hoping that's possible..

  • Hey Jabba… thanks for the posting!! was thinking of getting a T430… and couldn't justify the $1400… so thank you!!

  • +6

If they cancel the laptop order, I hope they can at least honour the $1 earbud LOL

  • Just got one, hope they honor it!!!
