It's quite slow even for USB 2.0
Write speed is only about 5-6 Mb/sec

I got a 16gb sony usb2.0 from woolies for 10 bucks so if you miss out on the deal try there.

Woolworths have a special on a 16GB USB this week, not too sure if its verbatim or sandisk from memory but it's USB 3.0. For $10.
